Great affordable,comfortable kicks!
These turned out to be pretty good kicks. And you definitely can't beat the price!!!...... one thing i have to mention though... I must have made a mistake when I ordered them because I thought I ordered size 9-1/2 US But after going back and looking at the order...I mistakenly must have clicked "add to cart" before checking the size. I had them saved in one of my lists so I assumed I already chose the size but must not have. The listing was for size 8 US... anyways.... they actually fit. Not the room I usually have in a sneaker but not too small either. Just a little narrow as if I need a wide. But I never get wide in any shoe. So I question the sizing. Any other shoe in a size 8 ...I wouldn't even be able to get my toes in normally. But im still going with...choose your regular shoe size when ordering. I don't think the difference is that major. Ive been wearing them off and on cause I'm one of those guys that likes certain shoes for certain outings. I have a lot of shoes. At least 2 different kind for each day depending on what im doing. So they don't get worn every day. They are comfortable and seem to be well made. The sole of course is a little thin so you can pretty much feel every pebble you step on but I did expect that so I add them gel inserts and then they are quite comfy. I plan on ordering a larger size so I can get more room in them and some other colors as well. In my opinion... why pay 60 to 100 bucks on the brand name that these look like when these seem just as well made. After a whole bunch of abuse....I can gladly say that the rubber still hasn't seperated from the sole.. like the other brand name is known to do... so I say buy them. You will be glad you did. So what, it doesn't have a little star on the side of them. They look and feel great!

They wear out fast!
PROS: These look and feel about the same as real Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars, but are much more affordable.CONS: They are nowhere near as durable or long-lasting as real Chucks and therefore don’t last nearly as long when worn daily as a main pair of shoes. The outer canvas was prone to tearing, the rubber sidewalls split at the “bent toe” position much faster than they inevitably do on real Chucks, and on one of mine the inner canvas lining has torn away from the sole at the heel of the shoe... there is also a tear in the outer canvas at the heel. This is only from about 2.5 months of use.

Who needs chucks?
Ive been wearing black hightop converses since the 70s..............you know? Back when they were less that 10 bucks a pair? I cringed at spending 50+ bucks for my last pair. Well they are wore slap out and I needed a new pair. Now I see their 80-90 bucks!!! What the heck? Its a hunk of rubber with some cloth on it! The hipster in crowd has priced me out of what I wear yet again (Levi 501 button fly being another). Hey young people....how about you just find your own thing and leave us old people our stuff? Came across these and figured Id give them a shot. WOW, these are actually better than my old trusty chucks! They look the same other than the circle converse patch and the rubber being slightly different. The insole has a very slight cushion to it......converses have nothing. The laces are a proper length, chucks laces were always too long. The sizing is the same. If your on the fence give these a shot, for a quarter of the price you get a better shoe.

Better fitment than All Stars.
I bought these to wear with certain outfits, and I didn't want to spend $50+ on Chucks, 1) because that's $50 and 2) those usually hurt my feet so I don't wear them often when I do buy them. These shoes are extremely affordable and seem to fit better than Chucks that I've owned in the past. Chucks seemed to be a little too narrow for my feet and would rub my pinky toe, causing blisters. These feel a little wider, just enough to give my feet the room they need. For reference, my foot is 10 3/4" long and roughly 4" wide. I purchased a size 10. There's a little space in the toe yet, perhaps another 1/4" comfortably.

Best Bang For The Buck
I've been wearing black canvas high tops since the 70's. You know exactly what brand I'm talking about. I had Keds and later on Airwalks too but Chucks were my shoe for decades. And then punk rock went commercial and the price started going up and then Nike bought them and now a pair are $65. Screw that, these are $22 and three times better than any pair of Chucks I owned, even the old ones pre-Nike. The inner canvas liner in these are awesome, the eyes are good, we'll see how the bottom sides hold out come spring but so far these are ace. The last pair I had lasted 6 months and would have longer but I was on acid and cut them off my feet that day. Still way longer than the Airwalks I had before, they were okay but the rubber inner heal fell apart, the support inside. These cost a third of what Chucks cost but it would take three pairs of Chucks to last as long as these. I'd buy some before they are all gone. Joey Ramone would approve.
