If you're sick of gainers or supplements tasting chalky and quite honestly, pretty gross, then give Muscle Milk a shot. I've been taking sports supplements for over 20 years and Muscle Milk is by far the best tasting brand in my opinion, while offering a good value compared to other big brand supplement names. I don't typically use gainers, but I needed a bit more calories as I got into a more intense workout routine. However, I didn't need as much calories as a regular serving (4 scoops!!), so I just do half servings to get a good amount of carbs, protein, fats, and vitamins and minerals. Plus, the jug lasts longer that way as well. I can't speak for the other flavors in the Pro Series Gainer, but the chocolate flavor, which I mix with milk, makes for a really rich and tasty shake! Like...it actually tastes good that I want more LOL!! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a reliable brand gainer that doesn't taste like chocolate flavored chalk. Pros: - Tastes awesome! - Quality ingredients - Not quite as pricey as other big brand names Cons: - A single serving is 4 scoops, which is quite a lot to take in all at one time! Has a great taste and mixes well if you have a quality shaker bottle. Sets hard as a rock though if you don't clean the bottle quickly. I really appreciate all the vitamins and minerals it's loaded with.

Gained 2 LBs per week using this stuff. Have tried other brands, but this ones taste is MUCH better than others I have tried. It actually tastes like a chocolate shake (I mixed with whole milk for extra calories). No chemical taste but there is a slight hint of something other than chocolate... I compared it to what I thought a chocolate shake would taste like if it had a granola bar mixed in with it, but it was very palatable and after drinking a few shakes I even found that I started to like and want to drink them. Mixing was no issue, but even properly mixed the texture can be something that you have to get used to. For the most part there was no grit (if properly mixed, more on that in a moment) but it could be rather thick. Think of it like a melted chocolate ice cream shake. Not quite as cold as ice cream, but thicker than milk (again I mixed with whole milk for extra fat, protein, and calories) so this could be different in water. When mixing (with milk) I found it best to add the mix and give it a good, vigorous shake for about 10 seconds... Then let it sit for about 5-10 min, then give it another good shake for 15-30 seconds. I found letting it sit for a few min let the milk soak into any of the mix still in little "groups/balls" so that the next shake would break it up. This seemed to work better than just shaking and shaking and shaking. I am sure a blender may help with this, but I didn't want to clean something else.

I originally bought this to gain some weight and add protein, because I've been burning off too much @ the gym. I subsequently purchased 3 more times due to its great taste with chocolate milk, and it mixes pretty well in a shaker. I also like that it seems much easier to digest than other protein shakes I've tried. For myself, I enjoy this product more than the standard MM. I will later update on whether or not I experience noticeable gains.
