does not follow the diet
I went through the cookbook and a number of recipes do not follow the diet, at least 1/3 to 1/2. This diet in the first 10 days is supposed to be dairy free, gluten free, caffeine free, sugar and artificial sweetener free. Case in point: Based cod with mushrooms calls for heavy cream. Shredded Scallop: cream cheese. Sea Scallops with Portobello: heavy cream and Gruyere. Broccoli tomato Salad: mozzarella cheese. Spinach and alfalfa Sprout Salad: mozzarella cheese. And i'm only 34% through the book. There were more recipes with dairy. Now, what's with banana rolls with peanut butter: whole wheat tortilla shell and banana (high in sugar, gluten). and Granola - Craisins or raisins? HIGH in sugar, the BIG no no on this food program. He also uses mayonnaise (should tell you to get one that doesn't have sugar), taco seasoning mix, which has bad stuff in it, bacon, which goes against Dr. Hyman's principles, unless you have a Trader Joe's or Whole Food in your neighborhood and get it without added stuff (but it will still have sugar) , shakes with vanilla protein powder, which usually have some form of sugar substitute- and on and onNow, I appreciate the effort people put into writing or compiling books and therefore have never given a one star rating before on a book. But for people who are honestly doing the first ten days of this program, this cookbook can be misleading and even dangerous. I did the 10 day detox diet to save my life and it was my last chance to restore my health. It would have been devastating to encounter this cookbook before I was really familiar with the program.On the plus side, the Kindle edition cost only $.99 and there are a few recipes I might try although not those with exotic ingredients (come on, organic Persian cucumber?) I found enough of those in Dr. Hyman's main book. The program is complicated enough without these kind of recipes.

Hard to read on kindle
I purchased this for my kindle due to the price, and found it very hard to read. The spacing doesn't work well, and it is difficult to find recipes. This is not the fault of the content itself, but because of this difficulty, I can't give it any higher rating. Disappointing.

Great information
Most of us try to lose weight at some point, and I know for myself – it depends on my attitude how successful I am. This book will make anyone successful at losing weight and keeping it off. With multiple smoothie recipes for detoxing your body as well as healthy recipes for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner, I would recommend this book to anyone looking to lose weight or just eat healthier.

Beware, this book can derail your diet!
This book relies heavily on ingredients that are not on the 10-day Detox Diet of Dr. Hyman.Dr. Hyman's diet does not include any dairy, legumes, or wheat products, but Brown's recipes do include them, for example:"1/2 cup heavy cream" (Creamed Mushrooms"1 cup shredded mozarella" (Spinach and alfalfa sprout salad)"2 cups milk (Fast Breakfast Smoothie)"peanut butter and whole wheat tortilla shell" (Banana Rolls with peanut butter)The author provides a list of the foods allowed on the 10-day detox diet but then breaks the rules. I became doubly suspicious about this author's motives because there were so many typos and formatting problems. What I do like about it is the friendly and encouraging introduction, and the interesting paragraph about how it takes 10 days to break a habit.Actually I've always heard it takes 3 weeks or more to break a habit.

Healthy recipes for Detox Diet
This book is full of easy to prepare, healthy recipes that could be used for normal everyday eating, and not just if you are on the 10 Day Detox program. The recipes consist of wholesome, natural ingredients, and do not include any processed foods or those high in sugar. Anyone wanting to improve their health or reduce weight would benefit from using the recipes in this book.

Confused
Delicious recipes but I'm confused because dairy and anything made with flour is not recommended by Dr Hyman as part of a detox, so why are they included in some of the recipes in this book?

Recipes for life!
I have read the book and last night had the Baked Salmon and Vegetables - YumI see the recipes in this book as recipes can use for life not just for 10 days. Everyone needs to eat healthy, without your health all the riches in the world are no good to you, good health is what we should all strive for.Looking at every recipe in the book, all I can say is roll on the next meal!I highly recommend this book to all who wish to eat better and gain or maintain good health.

GOOD BOOK
Difficult for older folks to follow all the many procedures you have to go thru to get there; however, the book is well done and worth the money. Gene H
