Q: What does waterproof mesh mean?

The top of the shoe is a mesh of some type and is waterproof. Would I wear in rainstorm. Probably not however shoes are like slippers. Order 1/2 size smaller than normal.

Q: I just got these today - noticed that the “cage” is very tight even in a wide shoe. Does this central part of the shoe loosen up over time?

Noticed the same thing, got the wide version and it is very tight on both sides of my foot. Hoping these will loosen up quickly.
