An Excellent food, if somewhat misleading
My search engine must be dusty. I wanted floating pellets for my Jack. She at least tasted it, spat it, and retreated...I thought to myself: If this continues I’ll have to try to return the opened bag...I had already bought a different sinking hikari for our Synodontis, so this seems redundant. I am pleased with the pellet size though. And it seems juicy, leaves a scent trail to attract hungry feeders. So a little later I put a few more in. A few minutes later my Jack, Kitty, was playing with one, picking it up and chasing after it upon spitting it back out. I think I’ll wait and see. Haven’t seen her this playful since her older companion succumbed to a long bout with some kind of locked-jaw issue. So I’m torn. Reading about the other’s problem I found information suggesting gravel can get caught in the mouth causing the jaw to become open at rest. I won’t be adding a mud or sand substrate, part of my filtration is under gravel, so maybe this is best as a treat. What to do?

Fish love it, I hate it.
Used it to feed my carnivorousy fish like my Peacock bass, Redtail catfish, Dovii, Red Devils, and even my Blood parrot. None of them refuse the food, but it cost a lot. And now that the fish are getting big, they can eat a lot, and probably need a lot to fill them up. Smells really funky.. like fish food lol.. make sure you close the bag really tight after each feeding cause it STANKSSSS. And remove whatever isnt finished because it’ll stink your water up quickly. 10/10 on everything besides the smell for humans. Fish love that smell i assume. Makes my catfishes whiskers go up instantly and go into hunting mode.

Fish love it
This is a great fish food. While the designed for larger fish I've been using it for corydoras catfish and plecos. I really like Massivore delight for bottom feeders. It sinks quickly, doesn't foul the water and holds together well and yet small fish like corydoras fry can feed on it for hours. This is a great quality fish food.

Works well like always.
It’s a classic for a reason. Soft pellets all my bichirs enjoy plus a strong smell that triggers everyone when they immediately hit the water.

My beloved 20+ year-old catfish 'Sherman' LOVES Hikari Massivore Delite (Oxydoras niger catfish). He's a very large, aging fish, with greyed skin and cloudy eyes, but when he goes off food and refuses to move from his driftwood den I invest in the Massivore Delite and he rebounds. I appreciate the obvious quality of these highly-motivating discs, but am sad their price has gone up so drastically over the years - more than any other fish food I purchase. Despite the price I still give this food five-stars as I'm sure it's helped with Sherman's longevity. This food not only nourishes, it brings back Sherman's fiesty spirit and he greedily hand-feeds and head-butts other fish who enter his space while eating. Although I suspect he can hardly see as his eyes have clouded over, Sherman's nose still works well. I'll hold a few pics in my fist under water and the moment he smells the Massivore Delight in the pond he starts slowly moving his tail back and forth. Then, I'll put a few of the soaked discs in front of his face and he'll move over them. If he chooses to remain in the spot, I'll continue feeding him there till he's done. I continue this a couple of times a day until he returns to his normal self and he races to the side of the pond to meet me in the morning and hand-feeds.

My freshwater stingray has eaten this for 4+ years now with the occasional frozen shrimp and he is happy as ever. Eats it right from my hand. I use cheaper food for the other fish (tilapia and barramundi) but they will try to steal it any chance they get.

Bought these for my extra large predator fish, turns out they don't like them very much, but the smaller predators do. Very large pellets, about the as size as dog food.
