It was a little tricky trying to find the right squirrel feed for the wild eastern grey squirrels in my yard. I was giving them unsalted peanuts in the shells, not realizing that they are not that wholesome for them as a staple food. After reading reviews on various feeds, I tried this one. Read the package ingredients. There is a great variety in this mix [little if any peanuts, and not too much corn, which apparently is also not good for the furheads in large quantities]. There are seeds and grains, which are part of their diet, and some of the birds eat it, too. I mixed a few peanuts in to get their attention at first, but they seem to like it, and it is more nutritional for them. They come back in between foraging and eat some and then go about their squirrel business, as they should! I put a pan out in the morning and bring it in at night [don't want to attract raccoons] and there is very little if any left or wasted to discard. I still give them a few peanuts everyday - if I don't, they come up to the door and try to figure out how to get one. It's quite entertaining to watch, but I don't want to make them perform to get a peanut. All told, for my purposes I find this a great value from a trusted brand, and it adds some vitamins and nutrition to the squirrels' natural diet. As I have said, I also give them a few peanuts as treats everyday. I feel good giving this feed to the critters as their "SNAP" benefit, and letting them do their own natural foraging, to help them thrive. Bottom line: they will never starve.

My squirrels didn't seem interested in this. Not sure about other wildlife in our yard.

I’m assuming the critters lived it cause I need to put more out every morning. Some scraps were left for the fix, deer and raccoon

With harsh Winters food being scarce for birds this was an excellent addition from a feathered Friends I was delighted to see six Cardinals on my back porch eating from this bird seed along with many others great deal for such a large quantity

Birds and squirrels love it

They were a bit uncertain at first, but after a while they just dug right in. I had peace of mind because I knew they were getting proper nutrician with so many different kinds of seeds and grains mixed in. I will probably get more of it next year for them. Especially during harsh winters.
