ARB SS170HF Safari Snorkel Kit

I was very uneasy cutting a hole in my fender, and drilling holes next to the windscreen but I'm glad I did. It keeps my air filter so much cleaner!!!!. In the desert driving all the dust gets pulled into the intake and clogs the filter constantly. Now I have no issues with it. I have 0 desire to try it with water that's not the main purpose anyway. I get a lot of compliments on it.Also you will not be able to keep your power antenna. Go ahead and get a manual replacement now.If you have the bushwacker flairs you will have to cut them.

Snorkel seems great but I can’t install it because it did t come with the template that shows where to drill. I called ARB Andrew tried to get them to send me one but they just have a pdf version that you print and it doesnt print correctly even on original aspect ratio..

It fits perfectly, as it should. Quality product, quality result. Install was fairly easy, make sure to use a new hole saw for steel so the cut is as clean as possible. RTV all mating surfaces for maximum water resistance.

Installed without any issue on my 2001 4Runner with 1 additional part. I purchased the Tacoma air intake tube that fits in the wheel well, thereby replacing the 4Runner intake. This allowed the snorkel to connect directly to it. Everything worked as the instructions directed.

Easy install, you have to get into some tight spaces but overall in love with the product. The only thing I would change is the pillar screws should be a little bigger for more bite, I wrapped a vine around the snorkel and went for about 30 ft with it unraveling around the snorkel and it all held up well except for my pillar...shredded the holes that the screws went into
