Still Dancing!
First of all, my dancing skills are far from good, but this game doesn't focus so much on dancing. Even though it's called Dance Dance Revolution, it does require some decent footwork to get good, but you don't need any skills to start playing. The object of the game is to move your feet in time with the arrows on the screen. (Ex. Step on right arrow when the right arrow comes up and etc.)It does sound kinda boring, but once you experience it, you'll think otherwise. There's quite a number of good songs to choose from when you first start out, but you'll be able to unlock more songs as you progress through the game.I'm not sure how they made this game so addicting, bu I could play this game for an hour or two before I really start to tire out. It's just that much fun. There's slow songs that allow me to catch my breath after playing the ultra fast-paced songs. One of my favorite is "Butterfly". You can look it up online and you'll know what I'm talking about. There's quite a few modes to play on. The free dance mode allows you to pick your own song and difficulty level. There's a workout mode to count your calories, but I'm unsure of how accurate it really is. Dancing for 3+ minutes and after being drenched in sweat, I only burn around 6 calories. Still, it's pretty useful and not a bad mode to play on. There's also training mode where you can slow down the song so you can get the steps right. It comes with a useful metronome and handclap options among others to help you master that song. There's other modes to play on that allows you to unlock more songs in a competition like way.Overall, this is a great game for all ages. I had my 5 year old cousin play on it and she actually did pretty good. My aunt in the 40s even tried it and while it was quite fun to watch her, she enjoyed moving her feet to the music. Keep in mind that there's also other DDR (dance dance revolution) like supernova, X, extreme, and others. Each one comes with different songs, but each game has oveer 50+ songs to choose from.

Lots of Family Fun Exercise!!!
Our 14 year old daughter gets too little exercise but sometimes plays DDR in gym class and loves it (who knew?)! We have had a Mario Mix for Game Cube with a crappy vinyl pad and it is never played. On a recent family trip we all played DDR at a hotel arcade and had a great time. Upon returning home we ordered a couple of DDR games (Extreme2 and Super Nova 2) and some good quality pads for our PS2 console. The music and gameplay makes this a totally different game than the old Mario Mix we already had. It is addictive in a good way and lots of fun...even for my wife and me. Our daughter is much better than our younger son or us adults but we are able to compete because it lets each player select a different skill level. It seems that the Exteme 2 is a little easier (too easy maybe) at least on my beginners level than the Super Nova 2 but both are excellent choices and have provided hours of fun and excercise. I would recommend purchasing either a good quality foam pad or metal pad (I prefer metal but kids like the foam) over the flimsy foldable ones which are often packaged with the games. I also like that this is a video game the whole famlily really enjoys playing together regardless of our age or individual skill levels.

Fun for everyone
On the plus side: DDR Extreme 2 has a fairly good mix of songs.1. It also has workout mode which tracks your calories burned both individually and cumulatively over time while including a distance equivalent to jogging map.2. The method through which you earn new items is really great, its my favorite of all the games in this respect. It is both challenging and fun, though there are several I have yet to figure out.Its fun and a good addition to the collection with a few annoying pitfalls.1. You DO NOT have any chance whatsoever of getting a AA score if you miss a single step. I do not like the 'bonus' system that causes this. The scoring method in the Supernova games is far superior as it scores on merit, not whether or not you've had one measly mess-up.2. There is no 'Random' mode that I can see when choosing a character.3. To get the new character 'outfits' they cost 100,000 points a piece. Excess much? Definitely!

Description said "Like new", but what I received looked BRAND NEW!
Case was crisp and un-marred, the booklet inside didn't seem like it had been handled at all, and the disk had zero scratches on it. I was very impressed, it appeared like someone had done me the favor of taking off the cellophane wrapping on my brand new DDR Extreme 2 game! Ran the game in my PS2 and there were no skips or errors whatsoever. Very happy to dance my heart out to one of my favorite DDR games, highly recommend this seller!

HOURS of fun exercise
I really like the interface of this DDR game best of all of them. It's got so much great music! Remember you have to unlock a lot of it - you can either play the game (we are doing that), or I think there are cheat codes. I haven't looked into it, but it has a ton more music than what is there in freeplay the first time you open it up. I forgot that for a while and was so glad when I started getting to "buy" the songs through the master play mode. I really love to exercise as long as this is what I get to do! We call this game "leg day" and we call "Beat Saber "arm day". Much of my fitness is via video games these days - so great!

Lots-a-fun!
I tried this game out at a friend's house on a xbox 360, and I thought it was good enough to get my own game and pad. I picked DDR2 Extreme because it was the latest one at the time, and I thought it would have the most music on it. It turned out to be even better on my PS2 than when I played on 360. The game is challenging, but it doesn't leave you in the dust if you're just beginning. The music turned out to be a different mix than what the 360 had, so we didn't find the song we were hoping to find on the PS2. However, the PS2 mix is excellent and we have a lot of favorites. DDR2 Extreme is doing a great job of keeping my family and I active during the cold and rainy days, and we're looking forward to maybe purchasing the previous versions in the future too.-Chris

Correct case, came with wrong game
I was looking forward to this great game, and I got the wrong game in the right case. I ordered DDR Extreme 2. Very excited to play, opened the case, and the disc I got is DDR Supernova 2. I already have that game. Very disappointed. I should have got what I ordered, not a different game.
