Great product without using copper
Great product I think. I can’t see into my sewer drains to check and see if there are tree branches growing in there but I can only assume the product is working well because I have not had any backups. I use the product faithfully and I have re-ordered at least once already.

Highly Effective and Easy to Use!
I used Green Gobbler Foaming Root Killer to deal with tree roots in our sewer line, and it worked exactly as promised. The foaming action really helps it reach all areas of the pipe, and I noticed a big improvement in drainage after just one treatment. I also appreciate that it’s copper sulfate-free and safe for both pipes and septic systems. With four uses in one container, it’s a great value. Definitely recommend for anyone dealing with root issues!

It seemed to work
Hard to say how bad our pipes are but this seemed to give us temporary results.

Works very fast
I suggest wearing a face mask when pouring it into the toilet because in my tiny bathroom I note some irritating dust occurs when poured into the toilet. My house is a1920 build so narrow pipes with lots of lime buildup. This works well for slow draining. It aggressively foams so I suggest only using in toilet and flushing right away as directed. A little goes a long way, definitely worth the money. I no longer need to have a plumber clear line to street 3 times a year. It has not caused any damage to porcelain or pipes.

Poor value,
I used this to treat some French drains under my patio that run out underneath my yard. Grass roots often clog these up and they are breeding grounds for mosquitos if the water is not moving through them. I figured I would give this a try and see how it does. First off, it's a basic formula of 90% rock salt with the remaining 10% being citric acid (like concentrated lemon juice), sodium lauryl sulfate (soap), and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). All of these are household ingredients or easily purchased from a grocery store. The foaming is occurring from the reaction between the baking soda and the citric acid when hydrated with water. In other words, you can make a lot of this on your own for a lot less than this product costs. However, it also explains why this formula does not harm trees - there are no enzymes or anything, the high salt concentration will just dehydrate roots and kill them without harming the tree itself. Would it be enough to kill large roots in a pipe? I do not believe it would, but it probably would help as a protective agent to keep smaller roots from growing larger over time (as long as you use the product regularly). As for how well it worked on my drains, the foaming was minimal in the pipes and did not expand enough to fill the entire pipe, so I expect it just cleaned the bottom of the pipe of some dirt/grime buildup. Maybe it will help with mosquitos in there, but I doubt it. IF it works, I will just buy a 50lb bag of rock salt for $10 and mix in some anhydrous citric acid, baking soda, and a little bit of soap. That would be 50 treatments for $20 vs 10 treatments for $30.

This is the LAST time I buy this!!!!!!
This works well but, it does make me cough (and choke) when I'm using it - even when wearing a mask. I can't imagine how bad this would be without one. It does not foam - at least I don't wait around to see if it will. It does the job, but so well, it killed half of my Japanese maple. ( I suspected this was causing the root issue - now I know for sure.) In light of all this, I will continue to use this product. I'm sure it's saved me from a big plumber's bill. Update: This is the second time I've experienced this product delivered where the lid has opened and the product is everywhere. They do nothing to ensure this will not happen. As a result, UPS had to tape the bottom of the delivery box to keep the granules and fine powder from leaking out. Who knows how much was lost before they did that! I had 6 other items in the delivery and all are covered with the powder residue - including a stuffed-animal pet toy that is coated with it as well. (Dogs tend to use their mouths to play with toys - so especially not good.) I had about a cup of the granules in the bottom of the box, not to mention all over my kitchen floor and counter top.

THIS IS A GEM THE PRODUCT WORKS
After spending thousands of $$$ with pro after my whole house was overflowing and having an outbursts, all what we ends up is frustrations because it didnt work. Then they put a camera to check what was the cause of back up and found the cause was tree roots!!! And recommendations was to cut down the tree and remove the stump and roots and cost was over 10kðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ We couldnt take shower , laundry and sinks and the house spells terrible because of back up!!! Then i came along this product and they were many different type but this one with rootsdestroyer caught my eyes and i decided to try it.... It was fast delivered and i treated my toilets and shower pipes with half of container first night, waited for 12hrs, then i repeated the following night with the othe solutions... waited another 12hrs. The following day we started with taking shower no back up. Then the following day we did laundry four good loads and no back up .... Am happy writing this review , its a gem i recommend

Great product, but my last one arrived with a broken lid
I've bought this a few times over the years now, and this last time it arrived horrible packed. This bottle, no plastic covering it, and one little piece of brown paper inside a fairly large box. I didn't notice that the lid was broken and spilling out crystals until I had brought it inside - where my cats were quick to notice!! I quickly moved the box back outside and swept up the few crystals that escaped in the house. Luckily I still had the bottle from my previous order so I used the lid from that one on the new bottle after I poured the remaining escaped crystals in from the shipping box. As for the product, I like it enough to keep it on hand. It really does the job! I have a very old tree in my front yard that found my sewer line. If I forget to use this about twice a year, I end up needing to get a plumber out to rod the pipes (and then I have a huge disgusting mess to clean up inside, and a large bill to pay).
