Romeo's Rules (A Mike Romeo Thriller)

Mike Romeo a new character and series by James Scott Bell, took me by surprise. A friend recommended the book and said it was the best he had ever read, and he had read many. Not sure I would go that far, but I will tell you it was damn good. Mike Romeo the main character is rude, brash, brazen, tough, built, and everything you would expect in an ex cage fighter! Some things you might not expect is he is incredibly smart and schooled, and has the ability to use it at his advantage. Mike also has a past that is haunting him and in the first of the series is trying to escape that and live his life without complications. He is out for a jog and that is when his life is catipulted into hell and beyond when a local church is bombed. He goes to see how he can help the injured and is thrown into more than he bargained for. The story is fast paced and has the pages flying as time after time you want to see how this new main character handles himself with his brawn or brains! Along the way you will meet other interesting characters including his friend/rromate Ira who himself is quite a character. It is an amazing ride to the finish unveiling more than you bargained for in a mystery. Now with only one in the series published we have to try and wait patiently and see what the next book has in store for Mike Romeo.

Same as for Romeo's Way, what an expertly written book. It was very enjoyable to read and it deserves a second read just to study his technique.I hope he writes many more, this series is particularly amusing.

Fast moving but nor a blur. Slow enough to chew on and digest the unfolding plot... You'll enjoy it.
