Awesome design. But multiple failure points on an expensive cane. Also, cane too short.
Review after using for a year. The good: sturdy cane, no fears it will collapse. The bad: RIP-OFF! There is literally a razor sharp metal edge they designed right beneath the proprietary silicone handle (see photos). Well, I guess it’s not obvious to the company that made this but I’d call this a serious engineering flaw. They call it “normal wear and tear” that caused a matching rip in the silicone cane right over the razor edge. And since they don’t see it as their problem, they want me to pay them around $20 for a replacement handle that will also soon also succumb to the razor edge they have designed beneath it. I paid $60 for this cane but it’s now $45. It should be recalled. If I buy a replacement “cyclone” foot (which I would expect to wear out), I’m probably spending as much as a new cane anyway.Another con: I’m 5’10” and this cane falls short of properly fitting my height. According to my P.T. it’s about 2” too short, or maximum height of 5’8”. Which makes me wonder why the demo pictures show someone seemingly as tall or taller than me. If you are a short person this cane will probably work (as long as you keep a large stock of silicone replacement handles), but why isn’t this able to accommodate an average height American male?(Earlier review. I kept the cane for a year and update is above). Took a chance on a $60 Chinese-built cane. And to my surprise I’m very pleased with this, *ALMOST* perfect. In my one day test, it’s rock solid and the adjustment mechanism is brilliant (though extremely stiff and hard to pull, maybe oil would fix this). The grip is super comfortable and I love the angle. One oversight that will result in this going back: I’m only 5’10 and the dang thing doesn’t adjust long enough to properly use! You’re supposed to have a 15 degree bend in your arm, which inside my home seemed to be possible, but when I walked in the “real world” I noticed my arm was often straight down and that will lead to pain and problems. I spent part of my PT session having my therapist evaluate it and she said it’s around 2” too short at it’s highest extension. I know this is an unusual design as the handle goes forward, but even then it should meet the wrist but it falls way below that. I already have arm pain from a little use.The inventor in the videos doesn’t seem like a short guy, so I’m really confused about why a 5’10” guy like me seems to have gone beyond the length of this cane’s ability. I know the “bend” design adds a limitation to the length an extension can be hidden away, but this is way too short. Perhaps a larger version needs to be offered for people over 5’8 or so. If I was to add one more thing, a stiff spring in the handle to offer a little “give” would be nice.

Dangerous!
I purchased this for my father who is recently experiencing some leg and hip pain. My father is tall, so I adjusted to the last setting, and after a week, the cane collapsed on him! Fortunately he was not hurt. I had to adjust the cane for him two settings down so it would not do this again. I'm hoping it does not collapse on him again. The instructions that come with it are pretty vague so, I'm hoping they improve on it. My advice to the manufacturer, put a mark on the adjustable part of the cane that points out where you should not go past, "this point". There is no excuse for a cane to collapse on an elderly person. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. My father was not hurt luckily, but this can happen to anyone. Fix the issue please!

Garbage
Not even 2 months old, the grip is tearing. There is hard plastic inside the handle that cut right through the outer handle. Very poor design. Now cutting into my palm. Customer service is useless. It's now $55 of garbage. Buyer beware. It's a shame, loved the cane.

FINALLY A SOLID, WELL MADE CANE
I am very pleased with my new Dynamo Cyclone cane. Because I put my full 250 weight on my canes all have suffered either broken handles or bent tubular shafts. The Cyclone is of far superior design and construction. First, the alloy shaft is extruded with a contour. This makes it much stronger than a simple tube. I would estimate the wall thickness to be at least twice that of other canes...again stiff and strong. The full size hand grip is of soft foam that cushions the hand. The foot is wide and really grips the ground...no more surprising slips on wet floors or decks!! And although its not advertised as such, mine will stand by itself on a reasonably level flat floor. Costs more but oh so worth it.

Best.Cane.Ever.
This cane is truly the best design going! It does everything the company says it does. I have been using a cane for several years, and this one is the first one that allows me to walk straighter and more naturally. I am really impressed with the design and quality. I recommend this to anyone who needs a cane. It will change your life! The company is also great to deal with. The first one I received was jammed or something, I couldn't extend it. I contacted them and they sent me a new one right away. This one extends easily. I am thrilled with the company and the cane.
