Proper care consist of sealing the bamboo and keeping it up every 1-3 years depending on the climate and weathering the bamboo will endure. We also suggest clean/ washing the bamboo when and if necessary before sealing the bamboo. This can be done with 1:8 bleach/water ratio. I hope this was help.
