This looks great when it's done, it just took me FOREVER to finish. I recommend getting your own better brushes. I think it looks great, I wish the face colors just blended a little better and as someone who is not an artist I was hesitant to try to fix it how I wanted it out of fear I would make it look awful.

This was my first paint by numbers set and I loved it. Being a beginner, I was worried about how small some of the spots would be but I didn't have any issues and was able to use a brush instead of a toothpick like some reviews suggested. I did buy extra brushes thinking that the quality of the ones included would be poor, but they were not. They were almost the exact quality of the ones I bought separately and included the only sizes that I used. As for the reviews saying that there was not enough paint, this I did not encounter by any means. The black and color one shade lighter are the only 2 colors that I used half of the container on, but they both came with 2 containers instead of 1. I did use water to extend the life of those colors because I thought I would run out if I didn't. In hind sight had I not used the water, I would have just used 1 container per color, leaving me with an extra container of paint for each color. The only negative for this item would be the packaging. The canvas came folded and even after ironing it several times I can still see creases. This would have gotten 5 stars if the canvas came rolled instead of folded.

Takes awhile to finish but looks great. Worth the work!

This kit was so much fun to paint! I did this one for my son's room. We hung it on the wall underneath a spotlight, and it looks so cool when the light hits it! I couldn't have imagined it turning out any better than it did. We love the flame-like streaks all around the edges of Mario. Very cool effect! The colors are very vibrant, too. I loved doing this one, and he loves it in his room! Great kit. My only complaint is that I ran out of one of the black colors. I've never had that happen before, and I had repeatedly thinned out the black to make it go farther, and I still ran out. The pot wasn't very full, and this painting needed a lot of it. I ended up having to use leftover black paint from another kit to finish it up.

Working on this now. Again like in other reviews I will run out of black. And only half way done. First time this has happened and I have done a few other paint by number. Also find very hard to paint as constantly looking at the paint sheet to see the numbers. For this reason can't give a great review.
