I would recommend this item
After using it as a base layer a couple of times on very cold days and 2 washes.Pro: 1) Very cheap expedition-weight base layer. 2) Kept me warm when tempature dropped below 10 F degree: ColdPruf Expedition + REI Winterflyte pants + a shell. 3) Very soft and comfy.Con: 1) Piling on the outside - only after 2 cold-water-gentle-cycle washes and hung to dry. Most people would ignore this, since it's a base layer, but piling can also degrade the longevity of the item. 2) It runs short. Not sure about other size, but the small would be too short for anyone who is taller than 5'7".I can't speak of its moiture wicking quality, since I've not done any strenuous activity to really sweat.I would recommend this item.

Odd fit
These seem warm but have odd sizing. I am between a L and Xl a feel I should have ordered a XXL.

Could not be more legit
I've had sweat suits thinner than these. Worth every penny, felt warmth radiating back almost instantly.

Great warm material, poor design/fit
Pro:Keeps me warm while riding my motorcycle an hour in 40-50 degree weather. Haven't tried in weather below 40 yet.Con:The crotch area ripped while pulling up my skinny jeans to sit on my bike... Probably my fault, but the crotch area is so low!The legs are so short!! If I didn't have high socks/boots, a good 12" above my foot would have been cold!

Thicker than I thought
I heard too many posts talking about thermals being pantyhose thin so these sounded like they would be thin but not THAT thin. They aren't thin. The block the wind well and are very warm but do take up some space under pants. Maybe 1/8" thick.

Super comfy and warm.
These things are great - I am from Atlanta and had a trip to Chicago in Winter 2014 - it was -13 the night I got there and the wind was at 30mph... My feet were freezing, but my legs were fine. These things rock. They are a tiny bit bulkier than a regular "long john" pant, but it is totally worth it. They feel like fleece on the inside and are a good combo of keeping you warm without being too hot.

Super comfortable
These are very soft and warm. I got these for my Dad for Christmas, he has a health condition that makes him cold all the time. He requested an extra pair and my husband then cried for a pair. They both love them. Sleek under pants.

Very substantial, feel like sweatpants
These work great for extreme cold, fleece keeps you warm and they're comfortable. It's very easy to sweat in these, which is the only bad thing. Sweat doesn't escape easily. I'm 6ft and a Large is loose fitting
