Don Quixote Paperback – 14 Jun. 2017

I'd heard DQ mentioned throughout my life, that it was one of those "I've gotta read it to at least know" type books.I honestly never thought about when it was written, I'd naively assumed 18hundredandsomething... My inaccuracy explains why I'm struggling to get into it. I don't mind the 16thC prose translated into English, as it's a style that is clear without being too wordy (I've read a few of Shakespeares plays in my life to expect lots of words),but it's really not engaging. I'm looking for more pace. The short ish chapters are a bonus... 15 mins a night, but I'm 56 pages in and there's 502 more to go, and I'm losing interest.If I was on holiday, with little else to do, I'd plough through this, like a Dickens or Austen novel, but not as a bed time read

One of those annoying rip off versions with a cheap scan of the cover and the text inside is formatted without tact or skill. Worst thing is the unexpectedly large size which makes it annoying to read and travel with.

Quick arrival perfect condition!

The pages are of good quality and there is no difficulty in reading the text. Hence the five stars. But the book itself is better bought in parts as it is too difficult to manage.

I'll start off with the product conditions and details....- The book arrived in good condition. Absolutely no damages of any kind.- The paper quality is good considering the price.- The font size is good too and readable as you can see in the above picture.- You can see the size of the Novel compared to a regular notebookMoving on to the Novel...- It has become one of my favourite novels.- The Novel is 1095 pages long, split into 2 volumes. 1st volume with 560 pages and the 2nd 536.- There's humour, adventure, action (a little), romance (not of the main protagonist) etc.,- Being written in the 1600s, it truly is magnificent. Even the authors of the present period can't be compared to the way Cervantes has written this great book.

This book exceeded all expectations. I was in great condition at a fraction of the cost of new. It arrived quickly and I could not be happier. Thank you.
