Magnetic Door Stop Catch,Stainless Steel Brushed Door Stopper Floor Mount

Bought for new swinging pantry door. Was easy to install and small enough that it could be installed at handle height, top, or bottom without issue. I opted for top because I didn’t want attachments on both sides of floor. Have used for a couple days now and it works well. Magnetic strength is better than expected. Door was actually a little hard to open before I installed handle (not impossible it’s not too strong). Opens and closes easily and now door stays closed in line with door frame.

I have at least a half dozen of these now in my home. Each one takes about 3 minutes, tops, to install and they are simple and effective at holding the doors in place, out of the way. Great design, stylish and well done.

This product works really well and is quite strong. I bought it to hold a pretty heavy door in place and it is holding it with ease. I was quite surprised at how heavy and substantial the product is. I would recommend this product.

Otherwise you'll have to do as I did, and craft a riser block for the latch to rest on, and get longer screws. That being said, it was worth the trouble. The magnet strength is just right. It holds the door open, preventing it from being slammed by the wind, but is easy to pull off the stop when closing the door. Small, unobtrusive and good looking. The manufacturer really should supply riser blocks of various sizes to make installation easier.

The magnet is weak, and the clearance is low, pay less for better quality at Home Depot, I replaced mine after a week. Has trouble holding a solid wood door because the door is too heavy. I gave it 3 stars because it does what it describes, but is made cheaply and works well only on lightweight doors with very low clearance.

Works as intended. But do keep in mind that it's meant for a door that swings pretty close to the floor. I used mine outdoors for patio doors and with the slope, there was a pretty big difference between door height and floor. I compensated by adding washers and some rubber material that I cut out and layered up. You might need longer screws to anchor if you do this. It would be hard to compensate for much more than an inch gap. If another stopper works for you and you have 1/2 in gap or more, I might recommend going with something else.

Great product. Looks great. Holding up to weather well so far at two months or more. ( But, I painted the outside of it to match my rod iron... might help its holding up). Looks very professional. Strong magnet.

The magnet isn’t strong enough to keep a door open. May work for a plastic or toy door but certainly not a heavy front door
