Men's Whip Styling Cream, Like Hair Gel with Light Hold & Natural Shine, 3 oz

Gives what I think is a perfect amount of hold without being really noticeable. It doesn't dry hard or sticky. Nor does it give my hair a wet or greasy look or feel. It just adds texture and moisture so that my hair is manageable, stays where I put it, and doesn't look dry or flyaway. Honestly, after applying this, I can just run my fingers through my hair and it falls into place. No comb required. A little pricey, but then it really takes very little so it lasts a long time. Didn't rate the "drying power" because it didn't seem to apply.

Light hold, but pretty dang good. I put a pea sized amount in my short hair and it lasted for hours. I’m not a huge fan of the fake minty smell, but it doesn’t last, so no biggie

There are cheaper / economical products out there, but this fits all my needs. Not a fan of strong or medium holds that makes your hair-strands stand up like a stick. Also they were never flexible (Even light hold was not flexible enough to my taste). Tried this whip, and I can positively say that I am never going back to other gels. This lasts longer for styling than the cheaper ones in market. I don't have to use comb. Once applied it provides texture and flexibility for styling up to 7-9 hours easily. All you have to do is run through your fingers and style the hair the way you want. Also like the texture it adds to the hair. Not a fan of the mint-like smell, but that smell doesn't last beyond first couple of minutes after application of the cream. So no big deal. Works like charm even for my rough hair.

This product was not only more effective then what i was using , but cheaper as well

Went on easy, holds hair in place but is stiff and when you get a wind your hair will come apart in sections.

My barber uses this stuff. He's a pro, and if good enough for him - I'm okay with it. Can be applied to damp hair. A little bit goes a long way.

I purchase Crew products regularly. This might be the worst selling hair product I have ever used. Maybe I got a bad batch. But whatever I got is smells terrible.

Easy to use and to get off hair

Possibly the best American Crew product out there. Amazing when used on wet or damp hair, styled and then blow dried. It gives a natural-looking finish and feels nice in my hair when I run my fingers through it. It has a mild, inoffensive mint smell that doesn't interfere with personal fragrance. It has a decent amount of hold for something that is described as 'light hold'. Perfect for longer hair. I am using this more and more since I started growing my hair out. Rinses out easily with water. I read that the founder of American Crew David Racugla (spelling?) uses this as his favourite product - he has longer hair. I would compare it to a mousse, as it is very light in texture, but it has much better hold and finish to any that I have tried. Excellent for blowdrying into swet hair and has a great memory effect that you can easily re-style throughout the day. I have tried many hair products from many brands over many years and would place American Crew Whip and O'Doud's Styling Treatment on joint 1st place.
