This does exactly what it's supposed to do: shred paper! Neatly and efficiently. I wanted it for breaking down paper to put in my compost pile, and it works perfectly for this. Great value! And it's small, so easily stored.

Hard to believe that an item so small, using no electricity, could be So Darn Handy! It works surprisingly well & takes up barely any room on your desk, counter, or table. Letter size paper should be cut or torn in half, cutting in the center from top to bottom. (If you cut it from side to side, then after shredding, you can still read most lines on that page.) This is a great lightweight product! You can carry it around to places you may have papers to shred. That'd be a big hassle with a full size, heavy shredder. Would make a nice gift, too!

While I wish it were a bit longer and larger, for the price you can't complain. It's simple and easy to use and does the job.

The shredder is perfect for small pieces of paper - approx. 4-1/4" wide by any length. It works well on addresses on envelopes, invoices & letters; the offers we get from credit card companies that include QR codes, "offer numbers" and even checks we can write (that refer back to us personally). The shredder is manual, not electric. You can only do one sheet at a time but it's quick and easy and has a very small footprint so it can sit on your desk. No obnoxious noise while shredding. No more hand cutting into small bits. No more blacking out with a smelly marker. Easy to remove the top and dump in the trash. You can also shred colored paper and use it to "stuff" a gift bag. It's great!

I need to get rid of documents I no longer need, but many have account numbers and the like on them, so I needed a way to shred them. Because this is a one-time deal, I didn't want to invest a lot of money into a shredder. Rather than attempt to shred everything by hand or scissors, I bought this.This is smaller than I expected, which will teach me to read the description more thoroughly. It takes one sheet of paper (8"x10") at a time, folded lengthwise in half. After 6-7 sheets, the container needs to be emptied. Because it takes so little paper at a time, it will take awhile to shred a pile of papers. The handle falls off easily if you tilt the shredder, and the lid is loose as well. The crank moves easily as long as I don't put too much paper in at once. I don't know how long it will last, but it just has to get me through this project. So far I'm satisfied, and if it does fall apart or break down, at least I will have safely disposed of a lot of papers without having to shred it all by hand.

I very rarely write product reviews, but this one is just too bad for me to not warn others. DO NOT BUY THIS.- the lid has absolutely no way to stay on. It’s impossible to try to hold it, keep the lid on, and turn the crank all at the same time- the “shredders” hardly shred. The one piece of paper I try to shred (because any more than one piece of paper is too much) doesn’t actually shred? It just kind of indents it into strips but is all still connected- paper gets stuck in the gears/shredder and there is absolutely no way to get it out or take it apart- the bin is full after one piece of paper- the crank has nothing holding it in place and always pops offJust don’t buy this. It’s not worth the money. Spend a few extra bucks to get something that actually works.

I saw this on a social media sight, and knew it would be great for my functional living area in my classroom room. There is no noise and is working very well. You have to fold the paper in half, but it really shreds well. The capacity is fine for what I’m using it for.

I love this shredder! It is so portable and it works perfectly! I definitely recommend this!
