Great Real Spiritual Heroes Paralleled with Super Fictional Heroes!
Bayles does it again! To parallel Superheroes with Christianity/Biblical Heroes (and pointing out some I have never noticed before), it's a wonderful revival to my two loves of Jesus and comic books.Referencing particular comic book storylines that only Geeks know, referencing incredibly popular blockbuster movies, and even to my absolute favorite storyline: Kingdom Come; there are different aspects that he points out that brings me deeper to my love for the Lord. This is a good personal read and a fun group Bible study. I highly recommend this for any follower of Christ.

Relatable and a fresh perspective!
I was gifted the kindle version of Scott’s new book and I’m so glad I was! I love how relatable Scott is and how relatable he makes the heroes of the Bible! In Scott’s introduction he says “ Some might find it silly or strange that a Christian pastor collects comicbooks.” Boy, can I relate to this statement as a Christian Worship Leader, but also as an avid comic book, video gamer, and anime lover! In this book, it starts things off with the greatest hero of all, God! BAM! Then we move on to Abel! POW! I personally have never thought of Abel as a “hero”, but I do now! Very creative and very well thought out! I enjoyed this book very much!! Love a fresh perspective!

Inspirational and Relatable
“David was far from perfect, but he was an accomplished and admired king with the heart of a hero.”What the silver screen does to bring our heroes from the pages of comics alive, Scott Bayles does with our heroes of the faith from the Bible. Scott makes connections to biblical figures, their trials, their triumphs, their hopes, their dreams, their fears, their shortcomings, and sacred moments and moments of awakening. He makes these figure relatable while brining to light various spiritual truths applicable to our lives. Combined with the talent of illustrator, Justin Holman, Mr., Bayles immerses the reader in a world long past, but nonetheless real to those who lived it—making illusions to our heroes of the comics and the big screen to further connect the reader to them.We often forget these larger than life figures, unlike their super counterparts, were individuals just living their lives, and God made something of them (despite their humanity), just like he does with us. The Holy Heroes have stories to tell, and Bayles shares them. This is a great book for pre-teens to adults. Easy to read, succinct, and relatable. I would highly recommend it for anyone that wants to find out how they can live a life of faith and connect to our Heroes of the Bible!

Hall of Heroic Faith
Scott Bayles compares the very real heroes of the Bible to later fictional superheroes who have often been inspired by these heroes of the faith. He brings out the character traits of these holy heroes in order to show what sets them apart for God's service - and how we can apply these character lessons to our own lives to become holy heroes ourselves. I've read the first three chapters. As a grown Christian man who also loves superheroes, but like many other believers daily struggles with correctly nurturing my faith and hope in the Lord, Holy Heroes of the Bible is an encouragement to me spiritually by focusing on real life examples of the kind of character traits we as Christians need to emulate and reminders of God's love, empowerment, goodness, and a need to stay in His Word and in prayer. Holy Heroes of the Bible may be for comic book loving adults, but it's simplistic, down to earth language and modern Bible translations make it accessible to kids perhaps as young as at least 13 years of age. I'll definitely be reading the rest of Scott Bayles' book and checking out his first book, "Holy Heroes: The Gospel According to DC and Marvel!"
