Just received this today and on first opening I must say this is one of the most stunningly beautiful pens I have ever seen. I feel decadent just owning it. You almost want to sit and stare at it , never mind write with it.However, in practical terms, it seems well made and looks classy. It's fairly weighty and if you keep your lid on the end of the pen, it's slightly top heavy but I'm good with that as I like a bit of weight. Pen lid fits on with a nice snap. I was worried about the fine nib as I'm used to a medium and the nib isn't changeable but it's absolutely no problem.It comes with a piston converter but takes international standard cartridges too. I'm looking forward to using it with my Diamine inks.It writes nice and smoothly, no dragging or scratching so far. My only slight disappointment is you can't change the nib yourself. But I shall be using it as my everyday pen and I anticipate enjoying it enormously.

I bought this for myself as my best pen a Platinum fountain pen by Cartier is becoming such a pain to get to write clearly without hang ups in the ink...I looked for quite some time before choosing this Beauty...I chose this over several much more expensive pens including Montblanc's etc.....This pen is a beauty to behold; All Mother of pearl when closed....open and place the well balanced top on the base and behold it's magnificence with gleaming chrome writing piece that has the choice of free flowing Black or Blue ink...A wonderful choice for someone who just got a promotion or is Starting into better implements to write with.

I wanted a biro and fountain pen set as something that will last, using my birthday money. This and the matching fountain pen are perfect in every way. The weight is just right, the quality is very high, beautifully packaged in pouches, then boxed, then gorgeous little branded cloth bags. I love them and they would also make wonderful gifts for someone special

Very comfortable to use nice heavy weight.I have physical disabilities that give me cramp using cheap light weight pens, this one is very comfortable. However, the refills it comes with and are recommended are awful, roller ball pens but very scratchy and leaves lots of gaps and I need to keep going back over my writing. If anyone can recommend a better refill please do.

This is a lovely looking pen with a variety of great colours but the best thing is it writes beautifully every time. Money well spent!

Amazing pen that writes gorgeous!

I can’t tell you how much I adore this pen. It is absolutely stunning, well made, sturdy, well balanced, and writes beautifully.I have it inked with Waterman Encre Noir Intense Black Ink. I have written on a few different paper surfaces: Mead yellow note pad, DaVinci Sketch Paper, cheap printer paper, etc. it writes smoothly other than pressing firmly on extra toothy sketch paper, which is to be expected with any pen.The nib is amazing! It flexes with less effort than a Noodlers Ahab, but with more effort than a 14 karat gold flex nib from Fountain Pen Revolution.It’s a pleasure to hold in the hand with the smooth barrel and weight, posted and unposted. I usually opt for it unposted as it gives me more weight on the nib for my flex writing style.I would definitely purchase this pen again and look into other Lachieva writing implements, as this is serious eye/desk candy and an absolutely pleasure to use.
