Basix Guitar TAB Classical Favorites: Book & 2 CDs (Basix(R) Series)

I play a lot of intermediate rock stuff, and have played with bands (12 bar , 8 bar ect with leads). The last year I decided to try improve and expand my playing by hand picking. I play mostly for myself nowdays and for enjoyment. The thought was to tackle blues slide. This has been really great. The CD is pieces played straight through at normal speed and is actually good to listen to in the car. I bought this to learn a particular piece. I haven't been able to get it right but, I am becoming pretty good on several others. This has really had an impact on my blues playing because I now regularly go pickless. I would recommend the Bach and Betoven stuff, it is familiar and good on both fingerings. I highly recomend this book. I have the basix Bach one. That is completely in this double set.

Good book

I particularly like the Baroque selections (Bach and Handel). The Bach transcriptions are excellent !The tempo of the recordings is slow since they are intended as a didactic tool.An additional bonus are the Joplin Ragtime Transcriptions !

Very good. This book includes many recognized classics, including by Beethoven, Bach, and Tchaikovsky, . Highly recommended.

Great book with plenty of good pieces to keep you busy.

I was robbed, the book did not come full, they repeat melodies .... I do not recommend it

great stuff

I love playing guitar and I love classical music. I've always wanted to get good arrangements of classical pieces for the guitar and this is by far the best I've come across. It's full of familiar pieces well arranged for fingerpicking guitar. I'm not very good at fingerpicking, and some songs are quite manageable, others quite challenging, but I overall love it. It also makes for great and fun duet pieces, one guitar playing the melody, the other the bass. My wife and I have really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it to any guitar player looking for classical pieces to play on the guitar with a well-balanced range of easy, moderate, and difficult.
