Fantastic Quality, Comfortable to Use, & Worked Great on Cement Driveway!!!
This little masonry/concrete chisel is a beast!!! Our long driveway had tons of large cracks in it, which we wanted to repair before the winter hit, because the cracks were such a pain last year when trying to use our snow blower. This chisel was comfortable to hold with the rubber grip, and I was especially thankful for the added protection of the top handle guard when hammering (I originally & very stupidly tried using a wood chisel for the job & hit a finger or two with the hammer). The chisel blade is incredible - it is incredibly durable, cut through the cement driveway with great ease, & showed no signs of wear or dulling after successfully chiseling out all of the driveway cracks. I had no issues creating a "V" shape out of each crack, which I found was the ideal shape to receive cement after watching a bunch of do-it-yourself videos & tons of research (the driveway was my first cement/masonry-type project). For reference, I'm a petite 30-year-old female. I found the 4" blade more than manageable to use/hold, which may be attributed to the comfort grip & hand guard. I have small hands & wore thin gloves (comparable to gardening gloves) when using this chisel, & my hand covered almost the entire black rubber grip. For someone with larger hands &/or use with thicker, larger gloves, the handle length may be on the shorter end, but there seems to be enough length between the hand guard & blade that it would still be more than manageable. My boyfriend used this chisel & has larger hands than I do, & he had no issues with it.Overall, I would very highly recommend this product to others. Also, the price on Amazon ($11.04 when I purchased it) was the best price I found after shopping around at my local hardware stores.

love the hand saver
Firstly, I have no experience with chisels. None. I'm building a retaining wall and waivered between borrowing a wet saw or just picking up the chisel to snap off the bottom lip on a few blocks and to cut one in half. I decided in the end, to go with the chisel and I'm so glad I did. I purchased the Fiskars sledgehammer and between the two they made short work of any chiseling need. The blade is nice and sharp. It split a piece of retaining wall beautifully and in seconds. I used it today to chip away some old mortar so I could replace some loose bricks on a landscaping wall. It chipped it out cleanly with no effort. I love the hand protector, I'm an avid do it yourselfer and love that someone thought about putting a barrier up to save my hand.

Worked perfectly for chipping out tile floor
I had to remove a tile floor from a small bathroom, and this tool did the trick. It has a nice, sharp, chiseled edge that got under the tiles and popped them up for removal. The protective flange did it's job and saved my hands from several mishits with the hammer. The grip is really comfortable to use for extended periods.

Sharp!
Very sharp and has kept its sharp blade after chipping through 12 square feet of tile. Hand protector slides up the handle to the end pretty quick, not much I can do about that. As long as I hammer the center of the chisel all is OK. Solid tool for sure, and has protected my hands from erroneous hammering.

As Described
Never used one of these and found it simple and effective. Not sure how often I'll get to use it again, but it was worth every penny. Good quality and easy to use.

Great tool
Used this to split my pavers and works great! I like the blade width which goes all the way across my paver. Split right in two!!

great product
I'm very new to DIY and I wasn't sure just how well this would work. I figured you'd have to hammer a long time to break through, but this was easy. Basically score it on all sides and one good tap of the hammer and it splits exactly where you scored it. This is amazing. And I also like that it protects your hand, because I am very accident prone.

Works great, still sharp! Handguard is a nice touch.
I didn't think I'd need the hand guard, but after chipping tiles all day all it takes is one or two sloppy swings when you're tired, glad I opted for this one.

Good solid and cheap
Good solid as described and less than half the price of Home Depot for the exact same product

Happy
Bought this to remove a bunch of old grout tiles. Would recommend using a bigger hammer as the job took much longer with a regular size hammer for nails. The plastic handle tends to slip as you use it and the metal hides inside of the plastic as you are hammering down. I would recommend hammering around the plastic to get it back in its original place. Good quality tool and a good price.
