Seven Steps To Nighttime Dryness: A Practical Guide For Parents Of Children With Bedwetting

A must read for parents and clinicians!
I received a copy of this book with some sample products for the treatment of enuresis. Not until I needed to use an alarm for my own son did I read the book. It was amazingly helpful, informing the reader what to expect and how to use the alarm, setting up rewards for the child, etc. It's written in very clear language and is easy to understand. I have since purchased several copies to have for patients to whom I make the recommendation to use an enuresis alarm.

Not helpful
This book only seems to be helpful if you decide to use a bed alarm. I was trying to find a book that I could use to help my daughter stop wetting the bed naturally. I would not recommend this book unless you were going to use a bed alarm.

Okay....
The book is okay... essentially, there is nothing wrong with it. If this is a new problem in your household, you may find it useful. I, having had this problem for a while with my 7 year old, and having done my research, did not find it particularly useful. Why did I buy it? I was hoping to find something new in it. I didn't. Tip: Look into constipation for nighttime wetting. That ended up being my daughter's problem. Simple fix and as soon as we cleared her out, not a wet night in the last two months. Best of luck!

Its worth the money
I read the mix reviews on this book, so I bought a used version for about $3.00, its worth $10.00 especially to learn more about having a dry night. The book has some very useful information, like cutting out fruit and milk at night. (go figure) It is a guide for the Malem alarm so don't be surprised, but the alarm is well worth the $120.00. Also buy sheet protectors, they are much easier to wash than sheets($13 at babysrus) Although I would spend more to get them to tuck into the bed. Buy the book and pass it on

My 4 year old used this product and it really ...
My 4 year old used this product and it really helped him from bed wetting. We also used an incentive with it. Every night he was dry or got up to use the bathroom, he earned a point. When he got 3 points he was able to buy a small gift. Then we increased it to 5 points, then 10. Completely trained at that point. He didn't mind the product at all.

A waste of money if you are not using an alarm!!!
Unless you are working with an alarm right now, or planning to in the very near future, don't bother with this book. It has nothing else to offer. It's title should be "How to use a Bedwetting Alarm."We are not ready for an alarm yet and I did not get ANY other useful information from this book. Try Waking Up Dry instead.

Good Information and very helpful
Following this book in combination of an wetness alarm is getting our son to sleep through the nights without wetting. It provides progress charts and instructions on how long to use the alarm and other related information. First couple of weeks following it were rough, but once he was able to wake up on his own with the alarm it got much easier. He's making progress, almost up to a whole month of dry nights.

An excellent book!
This book is very informative. Every question I had about bedwetting was answered in this book. I would recommend this to anyone that has a child with a bedwetting problem. I had a company come to my house and tell me they could fix the bedwetting issue, if I gave them $2,000 dollars. This is a rip off, and this book tells you about that and any other misconceptions you may have about bedwetting. Once again an excellent book that will have your child dry in no time.

Excellent Tool
This was used with a Malem Bedwetting Alarm. It really works. At first, I had thought I needed only the alarm. After reading other reviews, I decided to buy the book, too. Thank goodness. It helped prepare me for many situations. Some I needed, some I didn't. During the learning process, I went back to the book for help. Not everything is included with an alarm. This book is really meant to be used in conjunction with an alarm.
