Nick Cave: Forothermore

I first saw Cave's work at exhibit at Scottsdale [AZ] artmuseum and was blown away. I have several books about Cave's artwork. He is incredibly creative. This book has more text than pictures so it is a chance to get to know about & his motivations & inspirations.There is another Nic Cave, a musician & writer, often confusing when I ask folks if they know his art.

The bookseller packaged this book with care and sent it in a timely manner. The book itself was in perfect shape and has gorgeous color plates. If you really want to get a sense of the beauty and detail of Cave’s “suits” I highly recommend this book!

If you ever have a chance to see an exhibit of Nick Cave's work, run, do not walk. I have seen a "Sound Suits" exhibition. There were also dancers in some of the suits which allowed us to "hear" them. I love the pieces he made incorporating crochet. He took old pieces and made them into new and wonderful three dimensional pieces. The book is a great reminder of this creative man.

Nick Cave is an incredible artist that will inspire all of us who have been putting any beads or design to any surface since we could crawl!!!! The book is a must have. It is a joyous experience to pour over the images of sheer color, madness and total brilliance!
