Wow! Talk about fast acting!
I've had a Fluval Edge six gallon aquarium for decades, like since whenever they first went on sale. Years ago I had huge tanks. No more. I am good with my fish. Few deaths. Lots of fun. Last November I decided that as the New York City area was collapsing, I'd sell my house and move to Arizona. That evolved donating my Cherry Barbs to the local aquarium store, emptying my tank and moving. It took me awhile to set up the tank again but when I did, I bought more Cherry Barbs in the local pet store. All was well for a short while until one of the newly arrived Cherry Barbs died behind a rock. By the time I found it, it was pretty well decomposed. I got it out of the tank, changed the filter stuff and did a 1/3 water change. At some point the water began to cloud and no amount of water changing or filter cleaning could clear it. I can only suggest it was the dead barb that started this cloudiness off. Can't say for sure.Anyway, something had to be done so I read reviews of all the aquarium water clarifiers on the market and decided to give Tetra a shot. It seemed the least toxic.I was determined not to over do it. Six gallon tank minus room for gravel, a rock and a fake plant. If a teaspoon is the right amount for a ten gallon tank, I figured I'd try half a teaspoon for this one. I measured, I dumped an I hoped for the best.An hour later the water was totally clear and the fish are fine! It's like a different tank. I'll give it awhile and later today I'll clean out the filter. This stuff is HIGHLY recommended by me.

Workable
Sometimes it tended tinge my aquarium. I have a 75gal tank, so that's no fun.

Added it to my 60-gallon tank - before and after pictures
Berfore: My tank is cloudy, probably from having its light on too much, from overfeeding and from algae. When I remove algae with a sponge and a scraper it's going to float and mess up the water a little. Did a 25 percent water change and put new Poly-fill in my Seachem Fluval 75 HOB filter. Then this evening at 7 pm I took a picture and added 30 ml of Tetra Water Clarifier to the water. (That was easy to do because the bottle has a very small opening and there are raised lines on its side each indicating 10 ml. So I kept pouring until the level was down three lines.)AFTER: It's five days later. After 48 hours I did a 25 percent water change and added another 30 ml dose. Then 48 hours later a third dose, changing my Poly-Fill filter, which had already tra[[ed much fine "stuff". IT WORKED! (see third picture) Tank is much clearer. But not "crystal clear" No fish were harmed. So I give it five stars.Cloudiness can have many causes and can be hard to deal with. Epecting this one inexpensive solution to do the whole job in most cases isn't realistic. In my case, I know there is more for me to do. Partial water changes more often. Less food. Leave the light on much less. It may be a bacterial problem and my HOB filter's bag of biological pellets may have been messed up (out of the water too long) a few weeks ago. Extreme water changes could be the wrong thing to do. It may clear up in another week or two. Patience.

Super effective water clarifier
This is a very good aquarium water clarifying treatment. It has made a huge difference in the clarity of our tank and it has not bothered any of the fish at all. We have several older fish as well as some newer ones and nobody was affected. It is easy to use And does not have an odor to it at all. We will definitely keep this on hand when we are ready for a new bottle. It seems like this bottle will go along way. Definitely recommend this product!

Will clear water but needs a little help
This is a fairly inexpensive product that really works and helps to have particles bind together to be big enough for the filter to grab. I had nothing bad happen to my plants or livestock using it, including fish, snails and shrimp.Keep in mind this will make the water very cloudy at first but this goes away within 24 hours. Also understand that for this to work some kind of polishing pad will be needed in the filter. A coarse sponge just isn't dense enough to trap the particles even with this product. Buy something that can be cut to size and either placed in the bottom of a canister tray or cut to the size of the plastic on a HOB filter. Just cut off the filter pad on a used one and put this on instead when needed. One more thing to remember is this will bind up floating algae and if it is dead it can be removed. Green algae clouding the water will reproduce faster that it can be removed so you have do deal with that and let this and a polishing pad clean it up. Usually a UV sterilizer will work to kill it and it won't come back as much once the tank matures and nitrates come down.It is good to keep on hand for times when people are coming over and you want the tank to be clear to show off!

Very effective
Just a small amount in a tiny aquarium clears the water almost immediately.
