Living in a very small condo, I sometimes need a little bit of extra storage space when working on a project. I decided to install non-adhesive privacy film on my guest bath shower door to hide my temporary storage "closet". I wanted a design that looked good, would afford a lot of privacy, and also allow someone taking a shower to see a little bit through the door. This design looks very nice, and met all of my criteria!I followed directions and cut the film a little larger than the measurements of the door and side window. I ended up removing the added film before final installation. I found trying to trim the excess with a brand new utility knife blade and the thicker film to be difficult. If you do have to trim, use your squeegee as a guide! TIP on cutting the film: measure carefully and draw your cutting line with a washable marker. Put heavy objects on the film to hold it in place so it does not move when marking and cutting. Use a rotary cutter against a straightedge as you cut along your marked line. The rotary cutter does not leave any jagged edges!Do use enough water to wet the installation surface and also mist the back of the film. It is easier to position / reposition. I found the final finished look was much, much better when I used a hard squeegee (like a Cricut burnishing tool) to remove the air bubbles / water. A flexible squeegee did not give as good results, and imperfections were visible the next day after the water dried. I actually removed the shower door film after seeing the imperfections and re-applied it using my Cricut burnishing tool with great results. No air bubbles or strange squeegee marks.The privacy factor is a 10 out of 10! The first photo shows my shower door "closet". The second photo actually shows my shower "storage area" full of the items I'm working for Halloween decorations for a large event. There is a very little bit of shading visible though the closed shower door, but overall -- everything is quite well hidden! And, my small condo is not cluttered 24/7 with my project!The privacy film, when actually using the shower to take a shower, is really good! The cross-hatch design of clear spaces allows the person in the shower to see out the door - which was something that was important to me. I like the design versus just having a plain frosted look.Overall, I am VERY pleased with this product! I like that you can remove it without any mess, and re-install it if needed. Installation was a breeze with a rotary cutter and careful measuring and marking. The look is even better than I had in mind!This is an honest review. Put this on my dog door insert. It was easy to trim and put up ( hardest part was peeling film off the back). It’s been a week and I still have some bubbles at the top of the window but I don’t notice them much. I love that even when I put my eye right up to the clear lines, they still blur most of what’s on the other side of the window.
