Moorebot Scout - Tiny Versatile Mobile Camera Robot for Home Monitoring and Fun, Indoor, Black

Ended up with 2 devices, one I've keep on Moorebot services and other I've got for development. My 5 cents as regular consumer: 1. long battery life as mobile camera 2. very nice interface to drive around, attach to person or pets (follow mode) 3. some patrol function, but not yet ready for use 4. solid design, my drove off stairs (there is no cliff sensors) and no damage 5. day/night vision 6. good range on direct wifi, but lot better with mesh wifi 7. scratch programming for some easy to learn programming same as geek: 1. root access in 6 clicks 2. onboard python example 3. NO access to app after root access! (you have to do factory recover to use app after) 4. you need to develop full wrapper for remote control 5. you could develop C/C++/go/python on-board control, 512MB Ram, ROS, libs already on board 6. it will be optional tracks available, so better, precise driving for map creation coming Overall, good price, loots of use-cases and just fun to drive.

Great for routine surveillance and fun for small pets when away from home. Two way radio as well as multi directional controls to avoid getting stuck. Need more accessories for this little bot.

It's the most dumb robot I ever seen! So many repeating moves to the wrong direction, low capability of correcting its course of move or its direction, low detection of environment, even losing directions during the course of move, it makes you mad! My vacuum cleaner is 100 times smarter and always find its home!

This device has improved leaps and bounds. Its initial camera was quoted as 2 Megapixel, the one I received recently has at least a 12 Megapixel camera rivaling my Dji mini 2 in quality. For the price, this is an amazing product.

Not as promoted, clunky and doesn’t exceed table top range of operation, Wi-Fi doesn’t work most of the time

Overall, I'm really impressed with the Moorebot Scout. It's a fun and useful addition to my smart home setup, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a smart camera with a bit of personality!
