Growing up in Hawaii, there was ALWAYS a rice cooker in the kitchen. I could never imagine not having one. The smallest cooker we've had was a 5-cup cooker, so yield of 10 cups cooked rice. It's been the two of us in the house for a long time, but I've always insisted on at least a 5-cup cooker (in case of company). We decided to get something smaller "just to see" and this has been the best purchase ever! Not only does it cook rice nicely, it's also very, very cute! The capacity is perfect--even on days we just need rice for one. I've also used it to cook mixed rice dishes and it performed well. The small cooker is so easy to clean and the cooker itself takes up no room at all. Highly recommended!

I've seen some reviews struggling with the buttons! Don't press too hard or light and hold your finger on the start button until it beeps! The other buttons work immediately, but the start button needs a second. I assume thats the problem people are encountering. This is perfect for someone living alone like myself. It's small, cute, easy to clean, and I'm in love with it. I like to start my rice first, then make my food, and enjoy with fresh, hot, perfectly cooked rice!

I bought this two years ago and it is still going strong. Makes great rice. Especially brown rice. I’ve cooked quinoa and buckwheat in it too. Absolutely no issues. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a small rice cooker.

I made the following review, but I’m updating it. I thought the inside pot was peeling but it turns out it was the leftover uncleared goo from oatmeal! It’s not peeling at all. It was stupid me who didn’t realize it was leftover food, The only thing I don’t like is that it sometimes bubbles over the top of the steam valve. Otherwise this little yellow unit is golden. Super cute, lives on counter, small footprint. Even has a lovely rice paddle. Great gift for morning oatmeal or cooked grain people! Easy to use, makes a daily amount, no need for leftovers. +++++++++++++++++++ I read other reviews and ordered anyway. Used twice, once porridge rice with almond milk—epic failure. Overflowed out of top steam vent all over counter. Second with brown rice using the one cup measurement (using the cup that came with unit) and filled inside of pot to the matching line. Also overflowed steam vent at top. Both times the unit overflowed liquid out of top steam vent. It has no side catch like other rice cookers so that’s the only place for it to go. Worst thing was, used twice in same day and the bottom coating on inside of the “ceramic” cooking pot is already peeling. Both a clear coat, which came up on my fingers when I inspected it. And the black - gray coating on the inside bottom lip where the sides meet the bottom. Epic failure Avoid at all costs It’s cute but does not work and will kill you slowly after you ingest chemical coating.

First of all, this thing is adorable! I got the yellow one because it was a couple dollars less than the other colors. It’s a bright, sunny yellow and adds a perky touch of color to the counter when in use. When not in use, it’s small enough to tuck away in a cabinet. It’s very easy to use. It comes with clear instructions and markings on the inside of the pot. So far, I’ve made the largest possible portion of white rice and the smallest portion of brown rice. Both came out perfect. The largest portion of white rice gave us (two people) two nights worth with a enough leftover for one of us to have a little on the third day. The small portion was perfect for two people. I had just a little leftover to add to my lunch the next day. Cleaning is a breeze. It takes less than a couple minutes to clean the pot, the lid insert (which is removable) and wipe the whole thing down. I can’t wait to use it again! Maybe I’ll try doing oats!!

I needed a small rice cooker as I don't have a lot of countertop space. It is truly as advertised and perfect for 2 people. As soon as I got it unboxed, I made brown rice. I measured everything and followed instructions. It was easy to use and the rice was PERFECT! The warming feature is great too. I bought it in yellow because the price was so much less than the white one. (Don't know why). Highly recommend this product.

I’ve only used it once so far but it cooked the rice very nicely and it stayed warm for a long time after unplugging the machine. It made just the right amount of rice for me to eat with my dinner and have a bowl of it with milk and sugar. The yellow color is very pretty and the machine itself isn’t super large.

Very nice appliance but it does not make a full 4 cups of rice. Lucky if you get 2 cups out of this. Good for a single person or 2 people. Not ideal for a family of 4.

Gleich nach dem auspacken direkt retouniert...ist leider kein deutscher Netzstecker....schade! Beschreibung war auf deutsch und nirgends stand dass es keinen deutschen Stecker hat, da kommt man ja nicht drauf, wenn alles auf deutsch ist.

Cute rice cooker that has a non-toxic inner pot. Solid performance; not as good as a zohjirushi but decent. Good size for 1-2 people. Not large enough for more than that or if you are interested in using it for rice cooker 1 pot meals etc.

It’s perfect and I mean perfect for one person or a couple. Having bought a well-touted and pricey brand (Zojirushi) and being completely let down by the splashing and cleaning challenge after one use, I was weary of buying a rice cooker. This yellow little magical thing is all I never knew I needed.

Believe me, it looks small, but you just need this one for one to two people. For your information the inner pot is ceramic coated so it’s not ceramic inside out. Having said that, you should be more careful when washing the pot.

Love this cooker use it almost everyday!! And it’s so cute!! Got it at a discount so even better!!
