The media could not be loaded.  I spent quite a bit of time on Amazon comparing prices, features, et cetera for GoPro compatible selfie sticks, and finally settled on this aluminum Smatree Telescoping Selfie Stick. (I almost purchased Smatree's carbon fiber version with a fixed GoPro head, but this one, with adapters, allows it to support a GoPro, a smartphone, and a standard camera mount. Additionally, you can adjust its flexible ball head to any direction you want.)As you can see in the pictures and video, I gave it a spin during a walk at the Richmil Ranch Open Space in Byers, Colorado. Even with the weight of two action cameras (I was comparing my GoPro HERO7 Black to the Apeman A79), this light, sturdy pole was easy to hold, didn't wobble, and made the whole experience fun.Which reminds me, I tried the pole out once before...using it out the window and through the sunroof of my VW Tiguan a couple days back on I-70 (in a 75 MPH zone). Although I could feel the effect of air friction, the pole stood up to it without issue. Please check out the video to see how well it worked. I am a GoPro newbie, so be kind. :-)Everything that comes with this package, right through the wrist strap, is extremely high quality and durable. This is a beautifully designed tool and I purchased the package with the thick tripod (which I look forward to using in the future).Unless you already have a long selfie stick for your GoPro/smartphone/camera that you like (and maybe even if you do), grab this one. I like it enough that'll I'll probably also buy the carbon fiber version for it's floating base.Great work Smatree!

I have three now. Great product, well made.

I am using this with a Ricoh Theta Z1 primarily for real estate home 3D tours. It is light, so that is something to take into consideration. With just it and a camera, you might have some stability issues if used outside on a windy day. My solution was to install a 30000 mah power bank to the base of the monopod (just above the feet) and that added weight makes it feel much more sturdy. I've used it outside in different weather conditions and it hasn't faltered once. I'd highly recommend it but also highly recommend adding some kind of extra weight to the base for added stability.

This thing is pretty good quality for the price. The base is heavy and has a high quality feel to it. The only reason for 4 stars is that I use it to shoot home interior 360 degree virtual tours (Matterport) with a Ricoh Theta V, and the max height of this is not tall enough to create a natural vantage point of seeing the home like you were standing in the room. If you also plan to use this for that, you might want to put this on a stool or buy a small extension, or just buy one that is a bit longer. I opted to keep this for the price and use a stool temporarily, but I’ll make an 8”-10” extension which would make the height about perfect.

Selfie stick, monopod, tripod, for cell phone, Gear 360 camera, go pro, point and shoot camera or even a DSLR. This can handle them all. This comes with the standard thread for cameras, a spring load clip that even hold my Samsung S7 in an Otterbox Defender case!! I had yet to find one that will hold it and snugly. This was a very nice surprise as it was not a high hope that it would since this is the 5th one that I had tried.The screw mount has a great 360 swivel head that bends 90 degrees to one side as well and allows you to position your camera in nearly any direction. I have not used the go-pro mount.The tripod that comes with this can be used on its own without the selfie stick part as well making this really two mounts in one. The tripod stand legs can be folded up to be used as a mini selfie stick and fits great in the Gear 360 Carry case  Aobelieve Accessories Case for Samsung Gear 360 2017 Edition Camera .I did a lot of research before I bought this and I am glad that I got this one. My only thing that I was unaware of or did not realize, is that the monopod part did not fit int he above case. It is too long. This is not a negative to this product, but I was assuming that it would all fit. Silly me.

Very well built and sturdy. It extends to a nice length, however, because it is only three sections, that also means it does not collapse to a very small size. All in all I would say it is well worth it so long as you have a bag or backpack to carry it in.

I purchased this to use with the GoPro Hero9. "Smatree Telescoping Selfie Stick Compatible for GoPro Max/Hero 9/8/7/6/5/4/3+/3/Session/GOPRO Hero(2018)/Ricoh Theta S/V/Samsung Gear360/YI 4K" When the package came, it was in a plain brown box with no writing on it. I put the item together, but when I tried to tighten the screw that holds the GoPro on, it did not tighten as there was no nut on the other end - thus, the GoPro just "flopped" back and forth. When I went back to the product page on the Amazon site - you could see that there was no nut on the end. I returned it because it was useless - no idea WHY one would want this design. I went back to the website and found one that was from the same company and had essentially the same description, but when you looked closely at the picture, it had the nut to allow the screw to tighten. I am sure that the first one I ordered is a knock-of of some kind. I ordered this one: "Smatree Telescoping Selfie Stick with Tripod Stand Compatible for GoPro Hero 9/8/7/6/5/4/3+/3/Session/GOPRO Hero (2018)/Cameras,DJI OSMO Action,Ricoh Theta S/V,Compact Cameras and Cell Phones". and it works beautifully. AND it came in a box that looked like a retail box. Be careful out there!

Thank you Smatree!!!! I've bought four selfie sticks on Amazon, including the Amazon Choice stick. They all sucked except this one. The others either crumbled like a wet graham cracker or were not intuitive or user friendly to use. This one? AWESOME. Easy to use, excellent tip for connecting my DJI Pocket 2. The tripod is a super bonus either for adding length or setting up for time lapse. I love it!!
