Urine Remover for Stains and Odors Refill, 128 Ounces (Package May Vary)

I decided to give CloroxPro Urine Remover a try because a lot of the products marketed specifically for cat urine are either really expensive or have a smell that I just can't tolerate. I was getting pretty desperate after one of my cats, Little Boi, started peeing on my dark blue velvet couch that wasn't even two years old yet. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the problem right away, so by the time I did, the urine had already dried and soaked into the foam cushion. The smell got bad enough that I've basically had to make the couch unusable for months by building a barricade around it to keep both cats and people from sitting on it. This was honestly my last attempt before cutting into the foam and trying to remove the affected sections. Replacing the entire foam cushion wasn't really an option because it's custom-sized and would cost hundreds of dollars to replace with the same thickness and dimensions. After doing a colorfastness test on the blue velvet, I thoroughly sprayed the cushion cover and the pillow-top protector until they were pretty well saturated and left them overnight. I washed each one separately in cold water, then put them in the dryer using air only with no heat. After letting them air-dry for another day, I did the sniff test—and all I smelled was clean cushion covers! The real test was the foam cushion. The urine had soaked in so deeply that I could smell it from both the top and bottom. I think using my Little Green Machine to try to extract the urine may have actually pushed it farther into the cushion. I bought the larger bottle of CloroxPro specifically so I could really saturate the foam from both sides. After about two days of air-drying, I did another sniff test. So far, I can smell the CloroxPro scent, but no cat urine! And for anyone concerned about the smell of the product, I'm pretty sensitive to strong fragrances, but I find this one tolerable. I'm a little hesitant to call it a full 5-star product just yet because it's only been a few days, and I want to be sure the pee-smell doesn't come back after the foam is fully dry - but so far I'm very impressed and very hopeful. I'll definitely update this review if anything changes over the next few weeks. Right now, though, I'm just hoping this means I can finally remove the barricade and start taking naps on my couch again! UPDATED 9/22/26: I was able to salvedge all of my couch cushions! After a few more very liberal applications, allowing the CloroxPro to sink all the way into the foam and then giving a few extra days for it to dry - the only thing I smell is the CloroxPro which is much more tolerable than some of the other products for dealing with cat pee on the couch.

This is the only stuff that I found actually removes the smell of cat urine! I have a cat that’s very territorial and pees everywhere. She sprays and this is the only thing that neutralizes the smell and actually removes it. I had tried countless of other products like Roxie’s, Natures Miracle, that never worked. I spent so much money trying to remove the smell from carpet and other things but I would still smell it. If I smelled it. That means my cat would smell it and pee in that spot again. With this. She doesn’t pee in the same spot again. It is a life saver. If you’re having the same type of problem with your cat peeing try this product. It really helped me deal with the constant stress of dealing with cleaning up my cats pee. It doesn’t mask the smell. But it does have a light scent to it. It’s not bad though. Smells light and fresh. So it doesn’t smell like you tried to cover it up it actually removes the urine smell. The instructions are easy to follow. But make sure you follow them so you get the most out of the product. Whenever I have to clean up a mess what I do is I blot the spot with a paper towels much as I can. I wear gloves for this step and have a bag ready to discard the dirty paper towels so the urine smell doesn’t transfer accidentally to other things. Then when I feel like I’ve gotten as much as I’m going to get out of the carpet. I spray the area with this stuff and let it sit until it dries. Sometimes I do this step a couple of times depending on how much I think still remains. Then I put a little bit more just to make sure. This I have found removes the smell. Then I go over it with a small carpet cleaner and I just use the regular carpet shampoo. I do not have to add anymore of the Clorox Urine Remover in the carpet solution or anything. I found that it’s counterproductive to do so. The way this product works is you’re supposed to let it sit in the spot and DRY. If you don’t let it dry it won’t work as I have mentioned above. Sometimes make sure it dries. Once it dries the spot is clean and as if it never happened. This product is amazing and I am so glad I found it!! I would have probably gone insane without it. Quick update: I have recently tried this on clothes. My cat has recently peed on a towel that was accidentally left on the floor. I wanted to see if this worked on clothes or other fabric that’s washable. So I did the same thing. I covered the area in this product. Left it to dry. And then threw it in the wash. I then washed it with COLD water. And hung it out to dry. And voila. Gone. I wanted to test if this would remove the urine. And it did. It is very important though not to wash it with hot water or put it in the dryer because it will seal in the smell. If you caught the accident in enough time. Try rinsing it under COLD water and then follow the steps. Cold water is best for these situations.

Works great on female cat urine. Everywhere tells you to use enzymes for cat urine, and I have in the past, but this gave me more success and better scent while waiting. I used it on a mattress, in my laundry (pretreat and also a bit added to the cycle), and on rugs, hardwood floors, and concrete floors. One of my cats was quite stressed or upset with all the travel I've been doing and she was peeing everywhere even on me in my sleep. Thanks to this miracle product, I got the horrible urine smell out of everything. When I went back to using diffusers, she stopped peeing everywhere, and my house is back to having no smell instead of that cat urine everywhere. I'm extremely sensitive to smells and notice things right away, so using this and having success was great. It's easy to use and price is good for how many times I can refill my spray bottle.

I have tried several different products, but from the very first use the oder is gone and my dog no longer pees in the house. I used this on my tile floor which is 20 years old. It foamed up like peroxide and used a grout brush and very little effort the grout looks so clean. I'm going to order more....

We recently got a puppy that has been terrible to potty train. I ordered this to help keep the house clean. It has a light scent to it but can be easily masked with another clearn. It is fair effective. Ive notice a major of the urine smell is got but there is some l9ngering scent. It does make laminate flooring pretty slick some times so be careful. For moderate urine it works well but if your puppy is putting lakes down it will take a few time to get it clean.

Can’t say enough good things about this product!!! It works very well on cat and dog smells. I’ve since ordered another jug. If you have indoor pets- you need this stuff!

Love, love, love this stuff. It lifts the stain. Clears up the smell—unless you didn’t cover the pee stain enough or soak it up correctly. Our Chinese Crested mix is elderly now (11) and blind and diabetic, and has thrown in the towel with going outside to pee. Husband was the one stepping in the wet rug spots constantly. We are still going to continue using it even with the dog now wearing male doggy-diapers most of the day. Hmm. Will it work on concrete?

This works really well. You have to understand how enzyme cleaning works and use it correctly. It's not something you spray on and quickly wipe off. It's effectiveness will depend on the type of surface, how porous it is, any subfloor contamination, cracks and gaps and the flooring where urine can seep to the subfloor. This product dissolves the urine crystals which takes time. The longer you leave the product on the better your results. Usually nothing can take out heavy contamination with subfloor urine saturation. If you are in a situation where you can't replace the floor but you're trying to get the smell out I highly recommend using an extractor to clean as much dirt and build up out of the seams of the flooring as possible. Take your time, go over it slowly, and get as much of the substances and contamination out as you can. Then saturate the floor with the enzyme cleaner. Cover it with a plastic or waterproof drop cloth for 24 hours. Then extract the floor again and repeat this process until the smell dissipates. If you pour it all on at once you will get a byproduct smell from the breakdown of the urine crystals. (With this product if you pour it straight on in large amounts you'll smell the strong urine smell or ammonia smell until it dries out.) The intensity will be in relation to the amount of urine contamination. You may have to leave for a day or two while it airs out if you don't have it covered. That's for emergency situations when you can't replace the floor or move. For regular home use with a pet it's great. Pair it with a 365 or 395 UV flash light to find hot spots and ensure a complete deep cleaning. If you are trying to correct wood flooring that has black staining from urine exposure people are brushing hair peroxide level 40 on it over a week to brighten it. Check out YouTube for instructions.
