I bought this for my daughter to carry when she walks her dog early morning or late evening. Everybody who has seen it says they believe it to be illegal in the UK. However, I don't really care about that because I want her to be safe when out alone. Since she has had no occasion to use it I cannot really comment on the effectiveness of the product - I hope that continues and I never have to comment.

The can for this is very small making it difficult to spot for a potential criminal. It has a twist close top that when opened, can be pushed down to spray a stream of red dye that absolutely stinks. Definitely more than enough to make an attacker think twice about carrying on in their efforts.The smell of the spray actually smells rather foul and lasts for quite a while too. The dye doesn’t wash off easily and would leave a criminal easy to spot by anyone.My daughter has this in her handbag and quite honestly, I feel a little safer allowing her out of the house knowing that she has some form of deterrence available to her.Giving the simplicity of using this and the potential of it being able to save a life or have an offender arrested, it’s a great choice.

I have purchased this self-defence spray, and it fails to spray! I am worried that if I replaced a repeat order, I will get the same results.
