Review: Inexpensive but accurate. - I’ve been using this to monitor temps on the stovepipe of a wood burning stove. It really helps in keeping the fire burning in a proper temp range clean chimney. It’s rather chintzy, but it works. Material is low grade but it works well and is pretty accurate. Easy enough to use, it’s magnetic so just stick it on the stovepipe and monitor the temps. A bit of advice would be to ensure the thermometer is placed high enough above the stove itself to ensure it doesn’t melt. For me the sweet spot was on the stove pipe about 6-8 inches from the top of the stove.

I’ve been using this to monitor temps on the stovepipe of a wood burning stove. It really helps in keeping the fire burning in a proper temp range clean chimney. It’s rather chintzy, but it works. Material is low grade but it works well and is pretty accurate. Easy enough to use, it’s magnetic so just stick it on the stovepipe and monitor the temps.
