Omni Unrefined Red Palm Oil, 33.8-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12)

Red Palm Oil is very healthy (more Carotene than carrots, and a good source of Vitamin E), although if you've never had it before, you may have to get accustomed to it's "industrial" flavor (but it grows on you, and the flavor is not noticeable in vegetable dishes). This particular item (when it is in stock) is, I think, the best price on Palm Oil I've seen yet. You have to buy a case of 12 bottles, but hey, you can give them as gifts! Since it is a saturated fat, it will keep for years anyway, so buying in this kind of quantity is not such a problem. The Palm Oil works very well with vegetable dishes and beans (I'm vegetarian so I can't comment about meat). I've tried it in pie crusts and cookies, and it's not bad also, but I mix it half and half with Coconut Oil to tone down the flavor. It stains red though, and is not easy to get out of clothes, so you have to be careful when using it.

You get 12 bottles for the price of about 2. What a deal! This is unrefined and has a taste, blech, but it is palpable with my oatmeal or soup. The health benefits I seen on Dr. Oz outweigh the taste. Maybe the refined oil will taste better but I can handle it.

Nice product. Just as promised and works well in cooking. Not disappointed at all. Since i did not realize i ordered a case - it makes nice gifts as well.
