Let's face it; even clean, freshly-washed dogs smell funky. In fact, I think they smell worse after a bath - I don't care WHAT kind of shampoo you use on them. (But I never thought I'd buy cologne for a dog.)Once and a while, I'll splurge and take my pup to a groomer to be bathed, trimmed, and to get her nails clipped. I noticed the groomer had this product in her arsenal, so I decided to give it a try.First of all, it smells AMAZING! I'm picky about scents, but I would be temped to wear this myself. It really does last too - for several days. It's not often a product turns out to be as good as the reviews claim, and this doggie cologne does not disappoint.Having said this, I realize fragrance can be irritating to animals and humans, so I limit it's use to about four times a month - after her baths. And although it's probably a common reaction by dogs, my pooch is NOT happy when I apply it. I spray it on my palms and then rub it in to her fur - away from her face of course. (I would never actually "spray" it on her - that can't be healthy for her - or for me.) She immediately shakes several times and rolls around on the floor. Then she'll be mad at me and sulk - until I take her outside to play fetch with her ball.All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised by the fragrance and effectiveness of this product. I'll definitely buy it again.

This stuff leaves you pet smelling awesome. Smell last for a long time.

The can is larger than I expected which is a plus! I got the fresh floral scent, and I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite, but it beats the heck out of the wet dirty dog smell that my pups bring inside after playing in the yard. I might try another scent next time, but would come back to this one if I don’t find another that I really love. I give my little dogs 2 quick sprays each when they come inside and they don’t really like it, but they get a treat for it so they get over it quickly. The scent seems to last really well, and I might not have to spray them every time if I used more, but we’ll have to work up to that.My teenager was always embarrassed when her friends came over because of the dirty dog smell (even the day after a bath), so she didn’t let the dogs in her room very often. We tried other dog colognes but they always smelled weird to me and the scent didn’t last at all. Now they just smell like clean dogs, and she’s had them in her room more in the last few days than she did in the last year. I will definitely keep using this product!

The pet cologne was excellent. I'm writing to you about another order for 2 bottles Of Coty's "Sand & Sable". My wife has been using this product for years and always got compliments. So she ordered 2 bottles for her 2 granddaughters. What she got was 2 bottles that had no aroma at all!! We thought maybe Amazon had been tricked into selling a knock-off of this product. Went to your web site and was told there was no return for this product due to something about being a gas product. I then contacted Coty and they are sending a return label and 2 new bottles. I can't understand how Coty can take it back but Amazon can't. My daughter said a while back she had a similar problem with another cologne and Amazon took it back...Please explain... Thank you.

The floral scent is okay but I actually ordered the clean scent. Looked back at my order details and clean scent has the box around it- notating that is the one I ordered, but the written description says floral scent. Be careful when ordering so you don’t receive the wrong one.

There’s nothing to dislike.

My mother used this when she had show dogs when I was little and I associate it with "clean dog" smell enough that it didn't seem right when my Dobie didn't smell like a clean dog. Lol.I asked her what it was she used to use (she has always kept some for her dogs), this was it. So that means she's used this product for 40+ years! Way back when, it only came in one scent of course (the floral scent would be considered the original scent). I'm glad I can buy this on Amazon now because 8 years ago I could only find it on supply websites, along with a fortune in S&H.This product lasts a long time because a little goes a long way. But, the scent lasts on the dog for awhile too. It's nice to use when you don't have time for bathing the dog and company is coming over or to use before a car ride. I have yet to find anyone that complains of the scent or react to it (it doesn't aggravate my asthma either!). Our Dobie hates anything being applied to her (doesn't matter even if it's an unscented cream), so I can't speak to her reaction other than no allergic reactions.

I purchased this after asking my dog groomer what he uses to make my dog smell so good. He told me and it happened to be available here. I was excited! Since my dog only visits the groomer every 4-6 weeks, it's nice to have him smelling good in-between visits and after baths at home.Now, the smell is STRONG. You only need a few gently sprays. I like to spray some on his brush and brush it through his hair--as opposed to spraying directly on his skin. It will make your place smell good too!The scent say floral, but it smells like a man's cologne; it smells REALLY good. The fragrance lasts about 5 days or so; usually, I do not need to reapply until the next bath or in about 2 weeks.Amazon gave an option for "flavor". I'm not sure why as the item is not edible. It smells good, but you can't eat it. LOL!I may purchase the shampoo from this line once his current shampoo runs out. Layering usually helps the fragrance last longer (at least for humans).

The dogs smell better

I had other groomers say they loved this for the long lasting smell and how they have been using it for years so I had to try it out finally. I do not recommend. It stanks. Like some kinda old lady perfume n roses or Lysol. How do people like this stuff?! 2 star cuz i have smelled worst.
