Auger works fine but read the fine print. The larger 4" bit has a shaft diameter of 0.4" which is more than 3/8" and consequently it will not fit a common 3/8" chuck drill without an adapter. The first paragraph of the product description does warn you about the need for a 1/2 chuck drill for the 4" but if you only read the main title saying "For 3/8" Hex Drive Electric Drill" you may miss this detail and waste time looking for an adapter or for a drill with a wider chuck. BTW, for the 4" bit you will need a metric 10 female adapter (not 3/8" or 7/16") to go over its 0.4" shank. You will need some force to push the adapter over the shank since the 10 mm shank has a coat of paint, which adds a little to its thickness

The smaller auger if it’s my drill perfectly and works so good! I’m totally in getting a kick out of using it. But be warned that the larger auger does not fit a standard drill. I almost returned it over this but then realized you can buy an adapter. I can’t tell you what adapter lol because I still need to figure that out. Read other reviews and they will give directions.

Best move I've done and extremely happy with purchase. The secret to a success is to push the bit deep 3" or so, then pull it back. Repeat steps again and again, but push it deeper every time. Use wider size to enlarge the hole after completing the previous steps. Easy on the hands and the drill. Clean job. Clean bits with water and dry them well before storing. Highly recommended.

Can I please have my non slip gloves what was included but didn’t get

I was having a terrible time trying to get roses and flower bulbs planted in our hard packed soil. Due to the high volume of rocks in our yard it was almost impossible to dig a hole. These little augers will get right in there and loosen up the soil enough that you can pick out the rocks (some are very large) and then complete the hole using a sharp shooter shovel. I’m quite pleased with this purchase.

I live in North Carolina with very hard clay and rock soil. This auger works great to dig planting holes, loosen the soil for bigger holes and generally mix up the soil and amendments before planting. High quality metal and very solid. Highly recommended and the price is right!

These 2 augers worked like a champ! Would recommend for anyone that has a garden.

Line up the spots for your plants, pop it on your drill and away you go! Just be careful with this until you get used to it. Worth the money and it’s kinda fun.
