Interesante libro.
De los pocos libros que hace una revisión del papel de la mujer en la historia del yoga. Muy recomendable.

Celebrating the feminine in yoga
Although yoga is rapidly becoming dominated by female practitioners, so many yoga books are focused on the male influence in yoga (Iyengar, Krishnamacharya, Jois, Desikachar, Bikram, etc.). For the first time, "Yogini: The Power of Women in Yoga" introduces us to many of the women who have made (and continue to make) inroads on the yogic path. Compiled by Janice Gates with a foreward by Linda Sparrowe, this beautiful book brings us the stories and insights from 17 of the most renowned and beloved yoginis. From pioneers like Indra Devi to the newer gurus like Sharon Gannon, "Yogini" gives us a taste of what these women are all about - and how they embody the 'yogic lifestyle'. Full of wisdom, insight and her-story, this book will inspire. You will find yourself asking how you can remain true to yourself as these brave women have. I highly recommend this to all practitioners - regardless of your gender.

Maravilloso
Gran fuente de la inspiración para las practicantes y maestras de yoga! Leer sobre el recorrido y la experiencia de las grandes yoginis de nuestra época inspira muchísimo!! Además, después de haber estudiado con algunas de ellas, es aún más interesante!
