EASWEL Emergency USB Battery Powered Power Bank Compact Portable 4 AA Batteries

After reading comments here, I was sure that it would not work to keep my old iPad going. The iPad's battery at best will give me 10 minutes with Bluetooth speaker and keyboard attached. Should I get a new one, maybe but, its doing what I need it to do which is watching or listening to YouTube videos. I did try this charger, however. I got almost 10 minutes after unplugging the iPad from an AC adapter and into this holder.. My first guess is the current is so low the iPad barely noticed it. It had a little charging icon but seriously, it didn't make a dent in the iPad's charge - nor did I expect it to. That said, the flashlight is good. It is a nice holder/carrier for the batteries and only a little larger than the simple AA carriers I use currently. (When I travel, I generally carry 8 charged AAs.) I have it on my desk right now charging up (topping off) a power bank which has 4 18650s in it and IS capable of charging my iPad. While this indirect method of using the AA's charge to power the iPad is certainly inefficient, it may come in handy in a pinch such as when I have NO AC outlet to plug in to. Next, I'll try it on some of my GL-inet travel routers. Not expecting much. Likewise not expecting much with my R-Pi but who knows? It may be enough to power one of the older ones. As I'm typing, I can see the "charge indicator" in the power bank inching up. It IS doing something. I do have a couple of holders for 18650s which can power the iPad but I don't carry them often (at least when flying) as they are more bulky and heavy. I liked this one but its clips make it almost a "one way" install when putting in the batteries. I would rate this lower if zero was available. I bought 2 of these as emergency phone charger to be prepared. Today we had power outage phones were getting very low. I took them out placed the batteries in and there was no activity that flash light feature didn't work the charger didn't work. Both of these do not work. It absolutely failed it's advertised purpose. Horrible product.

Bought this a couple of years ago. (BTW, the Photo makes it look pinkish but more ivory colored). A tornado hit our town a few days ago. We were without power for 3 days. While I have several USB powerbanks that I use for USB Lightbulbs and recharging electronics, this worked very well. I used it to power a a USB Lightbulb to light my room. When I could not recharge my devices with my Solar Generator (Too cloudy), I simply popped in some new batteries and had a good power source! Rechargeable Devices are great, but what do you do when you can't recharge? Use this device! I have not used it to recharge a Phone, but once, maybe. It seemed to work. Some say it might be a bit slow. I don't know. But sure worked great for me. I plan on buying more in the future. The price is very reasonable! Good for prepping.

It performs adequately and reliably for my application, powering a portable CD player that takes a 5V power adapter. The only difficulty for this power pack was that the batteries (4 AA cells) fit extremely tightly at first. However, after going through a few sets of batteries, the battery fit feels more normal. Be aware that this power pack does not have an automatic low-power sleep mode, so you need to manually switch the power pack off when it is not in use. If you leave it on (which is easily seen by the tiny red LED), it will eventually run down the batteries.

I know there are many negative reviews about this product but hear me out. I know most of these reviews are about it not being able to fully charge their phones and other devices and about it charging slowly. My only feedback to those people, is what did they expect to come out of 4 double AA batteries? I think if you want something with more power then you shouldn't be purchasing a device whose power source is 4 double AA batteries. That is just common sense! Now for my 5 star review! What this device does well and why I purchased it in the first place is that if provides a portable and convenient way to power small devices that require a USB charge. For example, I purchased mini humidifiers for my classroom that I wanted to use in a calm corner where there was no outlet. I searched all over the web for a portable power strip, portable outlet, etc. and I kept hitting dead ends. That's where these portable USB outlets came in handy! 1. It is cute and well constructed 2. It is lightweight so it can easily be adhered to a wall without collapsing 3. It takes double AA batteries so I don't have to worry about long cords and tripping hazards 4. It powers (not charges) devices that use USBs. (think about the gazillion little devices in your home that need this power source) When I purchased it, there was only 2 in stock and I was so sad because I needed more. However, when I went to write this review, I was so happy that it is back in stock and I will be buying them up (sorry in advance)!

Seems to work ok. We got it due to the power grid might go down and we would always have power for our phones.

I have been experiencing a power outage for 6 days as of today. I ordered a second one of these because I thought my first one had gone bad on me. However that is not the case, I ordered this as well as some brand new batteries, plugged in my phone via USB, turned off my phone and waited for the charge. To my horror and utter amazement not only did my battery not increase, it also went down despite my phone being powered off. I do not have a crazy phone like the newest iPhone or anything, I have a Samsung Galaxy A14 5G, a relatively modest phone by today's standards. For it to have drained the battery rather than power any of it is a testament to how awful this product is. I will give a credit that it is a good flashlight nothing more.

This product just might put your mind to rest during a power outage. If you have an ample stock of AA batteries, you can rest assured that you will be able to use your phone during a power outage. In the past similar power supplies had to to be used with a specific phone. This power supply accepts the usb cord and therefore works with all phones in your household. No idea how long the batteries last.....but using four batteries should provide hours of phone or text time. At any rate, during an emergency, this would be the least of my worries. Not being able to speak to loved ones and friends is my concern. Great stocking stuffer
