They're flexible and fairly form-fitting, with grip in the right spots for both catching and throwing. They're not particularly insulating (I think Friction Gloves sells a different version for that), but they definitely make it more comfortable to play in cold/wet weather compared to bare hands. The grippy material on the palms and fingers doesn't feel as durable as I expected, but I haven't had any problems with wear and tear so far.
