Levi'sWomen's 501 Mid Thigh Short

Let me begin by saying that as someone who has been self-conscious about my legs, I have not worn shorts in at least 15 years (I know, ridiculous, but I'm working on that). It's hot as heck here in FL and figured I needed to get some shorts. I ordered various styles and returned them all...except this one. I am 5'3" and weigh 152 lbs. with big hips and big and not so toned thighs. I ordered these in 30, 31, 32. The 32 fit just right. There is no stretch to this heavy fabric and they felt tight at first, but loosened up a little. They are super forgiving in waist and hip areas since they are higher waisted. The opening to the thighs is ample allowing my thunder thighs to move comfortably. I've washed them twice and though I feared they had shrunk a little, they did loosen up. The crotch area is a little odd as it is high (also causing the shorts to ride up in a little in the bum), but nothing uncomfortable. The length is perfect as it hides my insecurities about my thighs. I am considering ordering in a darker wash and hope that they fit the same (if not better than the first pair). I originally thought the button fly was going to be problematic, but it's been easy to use. I am very happy with my shorts! Wish they were a tad less expensive.

These are great shorts, so comfy while still fitting great and looking good. They hit at the exact right place on the thigh. However you may need to size up. I own quite a few pairs of Levi’s both the 501 jeans and wedgie jeans and they are all size 26, so of course I ordered a 26 in these shorts and they were way too snug. I needed to exchange for a 27. Not sure why these would fit so different from all my others but that’s the way it is. Other than that I love these!

i love love love how comfortable they are but they are darker than the picture which i was sad about bc there is only white or this color and i was hoping for it to be light wash. it’s more of medium wash on the darker side tho.

These are great but they run a little bit small. I went one size up.

I’ve been struggling to find shorts that fit since I’ve gained weight mainly in my tummy + the momma pouch. These fit good and the only personal thing that bugs me is when I sit with the no belly room lol but I’m also not use to wearing denim at all so I’ll have to make myself get use to the feeling.

Being 100% cotton these shorts are so comfy. Being 5'1 they are a little long on me but still a good 4/5 inches above my knee (nothing I didn't expect). I got these while they were on sale but I feel like I would still pay full price. These shorts are definitely worth it.

I wanted a pair of shorts that were more modest for a work event and these are perfect. Modest and comfortable but still cute. These don’t have a lot of stretch but I ordered my normal size (27) and they fit perfect.

I bought the same size I usually get from Levi’s, and these were not close to fitting me.

I ordered a size 28 because I wanted the shorts to fit looser in the thighs. Unfortunately the waist was way too big, however I tailored them to make the waist fit better and they are comfy.

I ordered size 33 and usually size 34 is too big and 33 is perfect. Well I could not even pull these shorts up! That's problematic because Levi's 33 fit me well, I even have another pair that proves it. I loved the quality of the denim and the cut seemed nice though.

Tight across hips, too big in the waist.
