**Q: has anyone tried these to polish frets on a guitar?**
A: Not guitar frets specifically, but I have made many types of metal gleam like a mirror so I have no doubt that they would work.

**Q: Can these be used to sharpen knives?**
A: These are designed for fine finishing of soft materials like plastic. Could you sharpen a knife with them, theoretically, sure....if you wanted to spend years doing it. I wouldn't even use them to put a fine edge because it would take too long

**Q: Is this the same type of micro mesh that's sold through Stew Mac?**
A: I’m not sure what Stew Mac sells, but if you are looking to purchase them for fret polishing, they would do nicely,  Various grit sand paper sticks on a foamcore board.

**Q: Can these be used for air-dried clay pots?**
A: Should work. Although Clay is porous and may need to be filled to do a good job. Consider spraying a coat of clear sealer to get a smooth surface.
