Long frustrating day trip. Number 48, page 216, Joshua Tree Parkway. It sounded so interesting. Something we had never seen, places to pull over and take photos. What the book doesn't tell you is that the parkway is a VERY busy highway with many, many semis. We quickly realized stopping along the road could be dangerous. It was also very noisy. We did stop twice, but it wasn't enjoyable. We called it a day and made the long, confusing drive back to Phoenix. I am doing this review so others won't end up with a mostly wasted trip as we did.

We live southeast of Phoenix & were hoping to find 2 or 3 fun or interesting things to do that we hadn't thought of doing.So here goes - goat yoga, mermaids, Miss Gay America Pageant ... just a few of the things to do that we could probably be OK without actually doing. Nicely illustrated little book, but a little disappointing.
