You want to make sure it’s really aligned and it’s so sticky that if you’re not careful, you will have a lot of weird peeling off to do and re-sticking to do. Lesson 5: a knife or blade or metal spatula is super helpful in installing because you can use it when you get it uneven to pop tiles to fit together. When you invariably get to a section where they don’t align and you can’t quite squeeze them together, you can position the little spatula or blade and just life one tile and pop the other one in next to it. Again, this makes more sense when you are doing it. Lesson #6: you can shave down the little metal tiles and put them back in if it’s slightly uneven to install it or doesn’t quite fit. We did this a few times. It sounds hard from what I explained but it was relatively quick to install once I cut it.
