Well made, worth the money
Took a chance on this one, and glad I did. Nice wire and cable stripper for larger cables. It is plastic, though so heavy duty it almost feels like it is made out of aluminum (its not, its plastic, just trying to give a feel for it) Came with extra blades, and even a right angle allen key to change the blades that is held in the crimper itself, so you do not lose it. I am a mechanic, and this is in my tool box at work. Though it is not real often we are making battery cables and such, this is the right tool for the job. Highly recommend it

Works well, almost to well if not careful
This was a time saver for sure, I had been stripping my 4guage and up cable with just a hand held razor blade. That was getting sloppy at times so I bought this. The spring loaded pressure helps for a nice clean cut. Some cheaper cable, it only takes going around one time to get through, I've gone around a couple extra times thinking I needed to and ended up cutting wire.It works well, I saved at least 5-10 minutes during each AMP power cable pull.

Great Little Wire Stripper - Have to Know how to Adjust It
UPDATED REVIEW: I initially thought this was a bad stripper. Based on other comments, I too had difficulties being that it was clamp down and strip way too hard and strip wiring off while getting the jacket stripped. What they do not show you in the product listing, nor do they provide any documentation with the tool is that the clamp is adjustable via a tiny set screw on the bottom of the tool. Just turn it one way for closing it, and the other for opening it to make adjustments to the razor cutting depth. All you have to do is line up the cable on once side (not placing it into the tool), and visually see where the blade sits when the tool is closed. Then adjust up and down until it appears that the blade will only pierce the jacket and not cut into the wires at all. Then, make your cut. You should only need to rotate it 2-3 times depending on jacket thickness. This is a simple and effective tool. I just wish they were more detailed on showing the critical adjustment point of the tool so people didn't have a bad experience with it. For this one reason, I didn't give it a full 5 stars. If the instructions had been provided, it would deserve 5 stars.

Real nice product
It's a little tricky getting it adjusted for depth, but after that it works great.

Great for stripping thick cables
Used for solar, inverter and battery cabling redo on my camper. Should’ve bought one of these to start with. Less multi strand wires cut when stripping.

Great product
Works great on bigger cables. Fits right in your pocket. The blade is super sharp! The strong tension inside the handle is enough the cut the outer jacket…. No need to squeeze as one might think.

Good price.
Worked fine after I quit putting too much pressure on the blade stripping THHN 6 ga. cable.. Thanks.

Nice tool
This is a nice tool but you must be careful as it is easy to cut too deep and get into the wires
