How transparent is this thickness? Is it similar to tracing paper? And can you write on it with a felt marker safely without dissolving?

This paper is like old-fashioned typing paper. It’s thin but not really transparent. You might be able to see through it enough to copy or trace something with sharp, black outlines. As for using a felt marker, if you stick with a fine point, I think you’d be OK; a broad tip might dissolve a bit. The question is, why use dissolving paper if that’s not the purpose? Buy tracing paper if that’s what you need. This paper works great for what it’s designed for!
