Shop Our Air Treatment Range Review: Great little dehumidifier - I grappled with buying this little dehumidifier and considered buying a bigger one, but I'm glad I didn't. I live in SW Missouri, in public housing and even in the winter, it can get quite damp in my efficiency apartment. I'd say between 15 to 20 days out of the month I've had it, I've poured out at least 1/2 cup of water. I know that doesn't sound like much; however, I run it only at night while I sleep and it has improved the humidity in the room immensely. Here's what I like about it: 1. It's quieter than my tabletop and pedestal fans. 2. It's super cute and if you look at it from the top, it looks like it's smiling at you. 3. It's inexpensive and it works. My only issue with it is there isn't any way to take the top off the water tank to clean it. The best I can do is run some hot water in it, add a bit of soap, swish, and rinse. Here's some advice on how to get the most out of it: 1. Don't run it constantly, run it when you need it the most. I run mine at night since the humidity really bothers me when I'm trying to sleep, then I turn it off and empty the tank in the morning. 2. Don't place it in an area that attracts a lot of dust and hair. Doing this will greatly decrease its efficiency. I place mine on the floor because I vacuum at least once a week, usually twice a week. I dust it every week and use an air can on it every two weeks. 3. It seems to work best when the temperature is at least 68 F. 4. It's not meant for large rooms. If you're planning on buying it for a room that's bigger than 250 sq ft, you will be disappointed so just buy something bigger. It works well enough for me and I'm totally not disappointed by it. It's inexpensive for the quality you get and it has improved the humidity in my efficiency apartment enough that I can sleep comfortably at night. Review: Works right away! - I just got this dehumidifier yesterday. It was extremely easy to set up and start (You just ave to plug it in and flip the on switch). My new apartment, especially my bedroom, is extremely damp. My sheets would be damp when I climbed in for bed and the air was very humid. I finally given in to the fact that I needed a dehumidifier. I read a bunch of reviews and decided on this one. The reviews said it was easy to use, quiet, and worked. And those reviews were right! Did it work: After about 18 hours the water level in the basin was pretty high (see image) and the room felt much less damp. My room size is 10' x 16' x 8' ceilings. I have a ceiling fan in the room, 2 metal frame windows from the 60's, concrete block construction, and I left the bedroom door open for most of the day. I live in south Florida and it happened to be a rainy day and night. All-in-all I'm very pleased at the results of this small dehumidifier. Pros: Super easy to use, easy to empty, auto-shutoff when full, auto-shutoff when water basin is removed, small, quiet (sounds like a small fan), works. Cons: The "on" light is green and reflects on the ceiling at night (I'm going to put a piece of electrical tape on it to cover), it was making a clacking noise off and on last night, I'm not sure if it was because it wasn't on a level surface, but it wasn't a terrible noise. Going to try it on the ground tonight and I will let you know how it works.

Product WILL Die, ZERO Support
When I purchased this product in July of last year, I was looking for a small-ish quiet dehumidifier for a room in an apartment I was moving to. The main use for it would be to take moisture out of a walk-in closet and occasionally a ~140 square feet room. I had scoured the reviews, and landed on the 2200 cubic foot model of the Pro Breeze. When I first got it, the unit seemed to work okay. It was definitely not anything near quiet like the manufacturer (and exclusive Amazon.com storefront seller) claims to be. In fact, it's louder than my larger air purifier by quite a lot. However, I did not mind at the time, as I would only leave it on for part of the time. Cut to now, April. The weather is warming up for the summer, and I'm trying to get the unit running again. The machine turns on, but doesn't take a single drop of water out of the environment. Not a single drop in the collection bin after hours of use. So I figured, since it was still well within warranty, I might as well get the unit replaced. I send an email to their customer support. Most of them would give you a general troubleshoot before admitting their unit might be faulty and offer to replace. But no, not Pro Breeze. They've been giving me the run around, continually claiming that: 1.) my dehumidifier to be a smaller unit that the one I purchased 2.) The unit wouldn't work in a room that was smaller than their room limitations (which was untrue, as it worked prior) 3.) The unit would not work at humidity above OR below exactly 60% (which is absurd, that's not how humidifiers work at all) They refuse to honor a warranty that's well within its range, claiming that their product (and I quote) "needs to be used in an environment within its ideal range". Now, we know that's all untrue because it's worked previously. They won't accept that their units have terrible issues that cause them to fail within a year of purchase. Their recourse? They can recommend another unit for me to buy. So here's my overall review: It oversells and under-delivers when it does work, but this thing will eventually fail on you. And if it does during the warranty period, expect zero support from their warranty department. The warranty simply does not exist. Unless you like terrible odds or skydiving without a backup parachute, I would recommend buyers look for another brand altogether.

Powerhorse of a unit
This bad boy can dehumidify a small storage unit (8×5×4) in less than an hour. It wont push the Rh% much lower than 53-52 on more humid days though. The manual switch also makes it perfect for climate controllers. I have the smaller unit hooked up as a backup when this guy turns off or struggles, but it works phenomenally on most days. Its also extremely quiet, which is a big plus for many of us. Dropped a star because the price point is pretty high and the reservoir fill switch is low quality, it broke down after about 4 months of running 24/7, before i built the climate controller. Im sure the unit wasn't designed to run day and night though so i cant entirely fault them for that. I should also mention what the data chart is showing. The controller is set to kick the dehumidifier on at 50%Rh and kick off and 45%. The downward slope on the sine waves are the time it takes to drop 5%Rh under those conditions. Its a pretty circumstantial point of reference but this is mainly to give you an idea.

Works great in the Pacific Northwest!
This is the second Pro-Breeze dehumidifier that I have purchased — the first being just over four years ago. In the cool humidity of winters and spring in the Pacific Northwest, finding an effective deterrent to mildew is a challenge. This unit is exactly what is needed. The first one gave up the ghost after running 24/7 for over four years. I have no complaint at all with its lifespan, hence the unhesitant purchase of a second one. This new one is even quieter than the first, which is saying a lot as I was impressed with how little white noise the first one emitted. The effectiveness of collecting excess moisture from this particular environment is notable, as even during very cold days and nights, when humidity is high, this unit fills in just a few days. For those with smaller RV’s and motorhomes, this Pro-Breeze dehumidifier takes up very little space (can even sit right on the console in the cab or windshield area) and effectively eliminates condensation even with the fluctuating inside and outside temperature changes. As a bonus and for the environment — use the collected water to supplement your indoor and outdoor plant waterings!

Does what it needs to do for the price
I live in an extremely humid region with no fan in my bathroom. The humidity in my bathroom has gotten so high in the past that if the AC is running, after only a short shower there is water dripping from my vents. This appears to have helped with the pink and black mold in the shower. The bathroom carpets and towels also appear to be drying faster. My apartment is about 500sqft and always feels stuffy with humidity and this is helping a lot. It has been running for several hours nearly every day for 2 months now and is still working great. At first I left it running 24/7 but I did start to notice an ozone type of smell (like when you use a hair dryer) so now I only turn it on before I shower and leave it on until I go to bed, usually 6 hours or less per day. This is still helping and there is no smell, so it appears to be doing the job. Where I live is consistently so humid that I don't think I will ever reach the shut-off level, so I can't speak for the automatic shut-off function. I can definitely hear the noise from the next room but it just sounds like a fan so it's not bothersome at all, in fact I often forget to turn it off because the noise is so unremarkable. The tray is easy to remove and empty; I bought the 250sqft option and I am emptying the container maybe once a week when it is about 3/4 full. It does have a very bright green light (much larger than that of a smoke detector) to show that it is "on" so if you are using this in a bedroom for example it may be noticeable.

Great Item, Excellent Customer Service
This dehumidifier is exactly what we needed for a bedroom that my wife uses for an office several days a week after we realized it has a mold problem. The dehumidifier runs quietly, pulls a good amount of moisture out of the air, and is dead simple to operate. There are only two settings - on or off. When the water tank is full, the device turns off automatically (a float in the tank rises up and presses an internal switch). Emptying the tank is stupid simple, and I am the kind of person that spills every time I add water to the coffee maker. Unfortunately, after a few months of continuous operation, the dehumidifier stopped working. When plugged in, it remained silent and no lights came on. If I manually pressed the "full" switch, the full light would illuminate, indicating that the unit was receiving power. Now the very good. It took a few tries to create a support case on the ProBreeze website -- you are required to upload a file, but the two days I tried to use the site, file uploads were broken. I eventually chatted with the automated assistant on the bottom right corner of the site, and it asked me all the same questions AND allowed me to upload a video showing the problem with my device. At the end of this exchange, the chat bot told me to expect a response within several business days. The VERY NEXT DAY, less than twelve hours later, a human rep emailed to ask for my mailing address. They sent a replacement unit to me at no cost. No need to ship back the broken one, as my video was adequate evidence of defect. I put in my request on a Monday night, and I *had a brand new replacement by Thursday afternoon*. This is by far the best customer service experience I've had after an item fails. I am very impressed, and I can confidently say that ProBreeze stands behind their products.

Easy to operate, could be a bit more quiet
4.4 stars. Works pretty good. No complaints. It pulls about a cups worth on humid days in 24 hrs, depending on the humidity level in the room. It’s not as quiet as I would like it to be, so I just turned it on during the day when I am not in the room. The sound is actually not that loud tbh, but it’s not a white fan type of sound, and I am a very light sleeper. Would be nice if they had a daytime setting and a lower nighttime setting. Would also be nice if it showed the humidity level on it. But hey, it’s a good price and value. What I like is the size is practical and you don’t have to emptied out every single day. I’m guessing there’s almost a litres worth of space for the water to be collected in it. Also there is no filter so that’s handy. And it doesn’t heat up the air like some units do. Make sure the plug is pushed well into the unit or you might think it’s not working. I bought 2 and alternate rooms. It’s good for medium to large sized rooms. Nice blue light when it’s on.
