Works well.
Bought for occasional use, this works well for it's intended purpose. Heat up time is acceptable (about 3 minutes), and the convenience of being cordless has it's own value. Minor points to consider are that if you are expecting similar build quality to a dewalt impact driver then the lighter plastic construction might be a disappointment. This said it fools great to use and for the price it's substantially better than works. For me it's not an issue, in fact the lighter construction has its own benefits and everything else is good so I'm not concerned. As an added bonus a sizable quantity of glue sticks were provided with the gun, so no need to buy in order to get started.

Works well and good value for money
I needed a new glue gun and liked the idea of being able to use my existing Milwaukee batteries but didn’t want to pay the Milwaukee price for something I only use now and again. I’ve actually used this for all sorts of household jobs and even alongside my dent repair kit for my cars. It’s worked flawlessly for over a year I’ve had it. For the price, the build quality is decent and I feel good value for money.

Fits the bill very nicely
I needed a bigger gun than the small craft version than I had and felt that a cordless toll would suit my requirements better than a corded one would. As I already have a couple of DeWalt cordless drills I'm already into that battery ecosystem, this seemed like a logical choice at a reasonable price so a I got me one.The batteries just slot in, heat up time is less than 2 minutes, the long trigger makes dispensing glue a low effort affair, it's generally a joy to use and fits my needs better than the small mains version I've been using up until now. So far I simply can't fault it.The only issue I've had is when I just pulled the battery off of a drill that was working fine and popped it into the glue gun, it would run for a few seconds and shut off. I thought this was a faulty unit but using a freshly charged battery solved the problem. Just be aware that the glue gun needs a higher voltage to operate than a drill does and you'll be fine.I wish I'd bought one years ago tbh.

Great addition if you use Dewalt 18v XR batties
Firstly I didn't realise that the glue gun comes with 20 11x147mm glue sticks. They aren't the best quality glue (it is that low melting point type that has a weaker adhesive and is easy to peel off), but a pleasant and unexpected surprise none the less. The gun itself uses the Dewalt 18v XR battery platform, you don't get a battery with it, it is a 'naked' tool. Not sure why someone downvoted the tool for this, it is mentioned in the description of the item and so I was not expecting it to come with a battery and can confirm that it doesn't.I can't speak to the quality control on all of the glue guns, but the one I received (when hooked up to a 5ah battery) heats up in about a minute and doesn't drip at all, so some of the other reviewers may have received one of a 'bad batch'.The switch is a nice addition as the battery helps to keep the glue gun stood upright so having to remove the battery to power it on and off which would be a pain. It would have been nice to have a rubber covered rocker switch for this (like Dewalt tools tend to use) to prevent the ingress of dust and grime into the switch, but that is really splitting hairs at this pricepoint.Speaking of which, the price is great, I think it is well worth the £26 I paid. The quality may not be up to the Dewalt standard, but then they would charge four times as much for the bare tool and not a chance of any free glue. I think the quality is good for the price, as I mentioned above, there are obviously concessions to meet the budget, but overall it is pretty good. The trigger feels a little flimsy (although it has yet to cause me any problems and the design of the gun means you can't easily drop it on the trigger) and the switch could be better, but aside from that the build quality is pretty robust. It is made of what feels like a composite plastic (meaning it will likely flex and scuff rather than just snap or shatter if you drop it). Colour wise it fits the Dewalt aesthetic, although it is a slightly lighter yellow than Dewalt use, so you can tell it is not a Dewalt tool (and it has an easily removable 'Mellif' sticker on one side, I say easily removable as it was already a quarter off when mine arrived). One thing I am yet to test is that some of the cheap Chinese Dewalt battery accessories lack the proper discharge circuitry to prevent you completely flattening your battery if you leave it turned on (to the point where it won't even recharge unless you 'jump start' it with another battery) which is obviously annoying as it means panicking and having to search YouTube for solutions (a couple of paperclips can get you out of trouble). If I experience this from this tool I will update later, but hopefully it contains a discharge circuit to prevent draining the battery completely. That's about it, all in all a nice addition to my ever growing tools collection (and my 4th glue gun). I would certainly consider buying another should I lose this one.

Massively surprised
I brought this as abit of gamble as I was getting sick of being stuck to a power cable with other glue guns. This has actually surprised me at how good it is. Easy to use, quick to heat up and being cable free is just the biggest win. Stands up no issue with a battery attached and 20 glue stick in the box is a nice added bonus. Very well made and worth the money all day long.

Meliff glue gun
Good glue gun. I bought the one to use with my Dewalt rechargeable batteries. Heats up in around 3 - 4 minutes. Doesn't drip when the trigger is released. Has a nice weight to it and the long trigger gives more control over feeding the glue sticks through. I like the portability of the gun not having a power cord and no messing around with an extension lead. I don't know how long a battery will last but I always keep my Dewalt drill batteries charged and there is an on/off switch so you don't have to keep it powered when using it.

Great glue gun, perfect battery compatibility with DeWalt XR platform
Good bit of kit, takes a few minutes to heat up but once it's at temp the glue flows really well and it doesn't clog or spit like some cheaper hot guns.Battery compatibility is bob-on with easy slide on and off with all of my XR batteries.Only thing is it draws a fair bit from the battery, a fully charged 4aH lasted about 25 minutes of constant use. A 4aH is the minimum I would use on this. But that aside, it's been a great bit of kit and gets used pretty much every day for sealing up resin moulds.
