Keeps Battery Fully Charged
Super easy to install. Only been installed a month. It is working great so far, keeping the battery fully charged. It was made in China, so time will be the real test. For now I give it a 5 star.

Keeps Battery Charged
I used this with my Tactacam Gen 3.0 and it has kept the Lifepro 04 battery charged above 70% for several months now. I used a small plastic weather proof ammo can, cut a small for the wiring to slip in and attach to the battery and a return wiring harness back to the camera. I also have the lithium ion battery pack in the camera. All attached to a T-post.

Great for my trail camera!
I just recently purchased this solar panel in conjunction with a 12v battery and a 6v converter to plug in the trail cam behind my property. Easy to install. So far so good. Will update after time. 1 year update: It has been a year and the solar panel/battery is still keeping my trail cam fully charged with zero issues!!

Vendor was very good; Boss Buck product was garbage...avoid directional feeder bottoms
First off, let me say that I'm a long-time Boss Buck feeder user. Generally, they are low maintenance for years. There's miniscule problems with certain models. Like the deer corn dust caking on the solar panels for the models where the solar panels are attached to the bottom. So that's why it's especially disappointing the extremely poor quality of this Boss Buck directional feeder. This model has a thin metal housing (looks like a seashell) so that the corn comes out in only one direction. In theory, it's good. That spinner plate is very close to the housing wall, so that kernels of corn don't drop below the spinner plate. So in theory, should work OK. But in actuality, as delivered -- the moounting bolts for the 12V motor were loose. That's a definite no-no. Due to the vibrations when the motors run, we've had all possible bolts loosen. The wing-nuts holding the bottom to the mounting brackets; the self-tappers holding the bottom to the barrel, etc. Definitely, we couldn't install this Boss Buck bottom with loose motor mounting bolts and expect it to last the season. So we tightened the motor mounting bolts to snug. which is a challenge in itself -- getting the right wrench to hold the motor bolt. This housing provides very little purchase to slip in a wrench. Once snug, then the spinner plate hits against the directional housing! Hits enough that it binds the motor. We were in the field. Back at the shop, we could have pulled out a metal file or Dremel and shaved off the spinner plate to make it work. But in the field, we didn't have those tools. We had to get tin snips to cut off this directional feeder housing and then pliers to bend it back. So basically, after a few hrs of work-effort, we ended up with an inferior non-directional feeder. Bottom line: Boss buck feeders great; Boss Buck directional feeders not.

Jury is still out on this product because I just installed it on deer feeder so will see if it keeps battery charged. This solar panel doesn't seem to have capacity to keep 12 volt battery charged in the harsh Canadian cold. Needless to say I am not impressed and suggest getting a higher watt output solar panel for the 12 volt battery. I have 2 of these panels and will be replacing them both with higher output.
