Basically like using moisturiser in your hair
I had high hopes for this new American Crew product. AC being a premium hair product company with a premium price tag to match.I have mid length har - about the length of my adult male fingers.. I tried using this on blow dried styled hair and it made the hair lank and oily within an hour.I tried it on dam hair pre-blow drying and this was a disaster, it just gave my hair the feeling of not drying due to its excessively oily nature which the low heat of the hair dryer exacerbated. This is billed as a light weight re-mouldable hair cream. In reality it is one of those non-setting greasy potions that slowly seems to become more and more and more and coats everything in oil and sticks your hair onto your head like you got caught in the rain.Total waste of £18.. it offers absolutely no hair styling properties at all.

An average hair product
Let’s start with the good things about the American Crew Whip. It has a great texture which is easy to manipulate both in your hands and then in the hair. It is soft and pliable, creamy and washes off your hands easily – leaving no stickiness. It is very easy to apply to dry or wet hair and seems to shape the hair readily. It is marketed as light hold and this is true. It keeps the hair in a reasonable shape but does need reshaping, or reforming regularly. It isn’t strong enough for windy days and probably ought to be reapplied part way through the day. Then the less positive things about the hair whip: the smell is a very slight mint. I suppose some might like this but it is odd to get a whiff of mint from your hair and I wondered what other people could smell if they were near me. It wouldn’t be my first choir for a hair product aroma. But the biggest issues for me was its appearance. It is labelled as natural shine and only one of those words is true. Yes it shines, but it isn’t the natural shine of healthy hair. It looks as if you have greasy hair which needs a wash. This was disappointing as I really like the texture and the ease of applying it, but to then look as if I hadn’t bothered means I shall not use this very often.

Another minute (never mind day), another hair product...
...but this one is pretty good. Never did I think I'd write that, but there's a first time for everything. Not bad at all. Opening the small pot reveals a nicely creamy content with a high surface tension to keep in place. Break that, and it's extremely light and straightforward to apply sparingly -which is all that even my excessively long mop requires, providing it's applied to towel-dried hair, no more. Non-greasy, nor does it leave a sticky residue or clump in the hair; in fact, while it can add a slight shine, if you use very carefully, you'd hardly know any was there at all, apart from the fact that it holds things in place nicely. Being water based, it's also straightforward to remove. A good product, well worth investigating.

Amazing product
Here we go, yet another hair product. There’s a multitude of waxes, creams, gels and putties to keep your hair styled so do we really need another? I have to admit that was my thinking, however I am really impressed with this. It’s incredibly light, almost like the whipped cream they use on Starbucks Frappuccinos! Despite this it’s a pleasure to use, holds nicely and doesn’t go rock hard or leave clumps in your hair. Simply run a small amount through your hair and it does a great job of holding it in place. Left my hair shiny and nicely styled. The scent is a bit odd, but still pleasant with a mint smell, which is not noticeable after a few minutes. This is a very good and very unique product and I would definitely recommend
