Miss him so much!
Jim Reeves has such a beautiful voice; if you know who he is, this CD will make you recall hit after hit that he had back in the day. The lyrics are still beautiful and poignant and worth listening to. He died way too young. This CD really does have all of the greatest hits and i don't think Jim Reeves fans will be disappointed; I know i wasn't. Glad to have found it here at Amazon. Used next day delivery and got it as promised. My father used to sing his love songs to us and my Mom, so i wanted it for the day she was buried. He was such a radio sensation, that even now, i know all the lyrics as i listen to the songs on this CD. Simply beautiful, timeless music.

great music never dies
I remember sitting in a coffe shop in 1967 waiting for my time to leave for boot camp. I was 17 going on 18, kinda scared and with not alot of money. I put money in the juke box and put on distant Drums and afew other Jim Reeves songs. Kinda felt alittle better by the time i left the coffe shop so thanks jim. To all our service poeple please be safe , to all our vets welcome home...

Excellent - Just what we needed
My husband sings karaoke and needed a Jim Reeves CD to listen and learn from, searching high and low we could find nobody that stocked them. Jim Reeves is halfway between Country and Pop, so has no home.This CD is a nice, clear recording, tracks are short and of good sound quality.My only complaint is that the Amazon entry said "mailed from FL, USA" where we live, but in fact it was mailed from ENGLAND! This meant delivery was longer than expected.

Gone but not forgotten.
As a child growing up in England I was accustomed to hearing the velvet tones of this legendary country singer which my mother and uncle would have on the record player non stop. England in the 60's of coarse meant this new pop music was sweeping the country but I never forgot the songs. This collection like most "greatest hits" does not contain all of them but is an excellent recount of the man's amazing voice, a couple of the songs could have benifited from remastering but over all a fine collection and worth the money.

My friend said he loves this CD. Jim Reeves is another of the great Classic Country singers, along with Merl Haggard, Buck Owens, Hank Williams, etc. You enjoy the sound? You'll enjoy Jim Reeves mellow voice.
