I have severe asthma and COPD and when we were told last year that we had to wear a face covering/mask due to COVID I was pretty panicky! Medical grade face masks may keep viruses out but they also keep oxygen out. I do understand that this covering will not protect me from germs (it's not meant for that) but it is a covering that satisfies businesses that require them. I can tolerate this covering for my short trips out vs a medical mask. I actually checked Mission's website to compare sizes of the different gaiters that they offer. Many of them are a different width/length. I specifically like the flag covering because it is smaller in width and length. For me (an adult female), this one stays in place. The other ones constantly fall down off of my face even if I double it up. It's not tight around my neck nor does it squish my nose in. My husband also wears this particular one. He hates to wear a face mask at all but says this one is not tight against his nose or face, it's easy to slip on, non-choking around his neck and a lot easier to breathe through than a medical mask. Just remember that there are many of us that may not look like we have health issues but do. I've seen people w/out a face covering get dirty looks from people with one on. If we have to pull our face covering down it's because we would rather not pass out from lack of oxygen. 😳

In the US Flag pattern, Mission only makes a 9"x10" (compact size) neck gaiter. Like most people I didn't realize this until I got it in the mail. Amazon needs to change the title and description as its easy to think its the same size as their solid color gaiters. It's pretty tight on me but works for a face covering when i'm out although I wouldn't want to use it for a very long time because of the tightness. It's definitely not as comfortable as their normal sized solid color ones (10" x 21"). Why they made this Flag one compact size is beyond me. It's probably more suited to young people or a smaller male or female, not someone with a big noodle like me. I'm going to keep it because its good to have a backup for my black full size Mission gaiter (which is super comfortable) I got at Academy for $20 which is more comfortable. In this day and age of mask rules its better to have extras and I'd rather wear a gaiter in the summer anyway, easier to breathe with in this 100 degree TX heat.

Looks nice and does the job. Complaints are that the seam/tag constantly works itself to the front instead of staying at the back of your neck. This puts the seam over the front of your face often. The tag is itchy, so maybe cut that off, a better option would be for the manufacturer to make the labeling information as part of the design graphics near the bottom of the seam. Also, if you have a larger head, of a big nose, be aware that it may be slightly uncomfortable as it bends the tip of your nose down.

Gave 2 stars just because I Love the flag design. If not for that it would have been zero stars if possible. I'm sorry I did not study everything on the page. Now I know it is only 9x10 in size. I was going by the pictures! Those models must be on the small size with very skinny necks. In all the ad pics the models have very loosely fitting items with lots of room to do things with the items. The truth is if you are a real person this thing smushes your nose in making it hard to breath and the part around the neck is TIGHT making it even harder. I had just come in from working outside and noticed the mail person had come. I was excited so I opened it and tried it on. Now I am pissed. $21.94 for something that is extremely constrictive, choking, and very uncomfortable. Was hoping to wear it to keep cool while mowing and such. Nope! No way, total waste of money!NO I would NOT recommend.Shame on Mission for very misleading photos!

I was looking for a company in the US that made gaitors, and the folks at Mission did not dissapoint.Well worth the price!Very well made and breathable, i've used this at my logistics job-often for 8+ hours-and it STILL comfortably holds up!The cheapy 'buy three' ones i got pale in comparison.I would buy again, but as long as this has lasted? I may no need to!

I like this "Gator" it is shorter than other brands so not as much materials gathers around the base of my neck making me hot. The cooling feature is more of a sales gimmick to me. Then again, the deep south heat and humidity do not offer much of a chance for the gator to evaporate moisture. I would recommend this product if you have to work outside or do work that a mask prevents reasonable breathing during heavy labor activities.

As a senior and veteran, I have about had it with the whole mask business. It is mandatory to have a covering in my senior living center as well as most local businesses. I don't have A/C in my car so I wet this Gaiter before going out and it makes a great deal of difference for coolin me a bit. I get loads of compliments on it and it is most enjoyable to wear.

I purchased this because I wanted a mask that was cooling and that I could breath through. This works perfectly. I love it. I have found that if I'm in stores too long, the mask dries out and once dry I go back to having difficulty breathing through it. Never realized how dry the air in stores is. Great product. Would recommend.
